Oakhill is a very inviting place. Principal Ackerman and all the staff that I have had the pleasure of interacting with are top notch and are truly genuine. I am sincerely appreciative that my community has such a wonderful school for my child to attend. I have seen first hand how much the teachers care about their students on both an academic level as well as a personal level. It is so important for teachers to pay attention to our children and create a safe atmosphere for them to learn. Thank you Oak Hill School staff for the continued pride that you take in being the best that you can for my child/ your student!!

Anyone who complains about this school has clearly never dealt with a big school before. This is a great school that does all it can for its kids. We do however need a permanent principal so we can get things rolling again. This is the only school I have ever seen where the teachers give the kids their home phone number so they can call and get help if they need it at night. Saying its the schools fault you weren't prepared is silly. The teachers don't make the curriculum, the state does. Stop blaming teachers for the states shortcomings! Also, parents need to get involved with the school and the community. I see the same parents doing everything all the time. Join the PTA, volunteer, and help out! That's what the PTA is for. It's for you to get involved with your kids and the teachers! The PTA has a small handful of parents that do about everything. That needs to change also!

Oak hill elementary is undesirable place to enter. The administration and especially the principal are cold and heartless. It used to feel like a warm and inviting atmosphere, when Mrs. King worked there. Now the school has gone downhill and keeps spiraling downhill because of the leadership. ,which the school has none. The principal is not friendly to parents and does not know how to run an elementary school. They need to have principals in the school that have a heart not that are cold blooded!
