I am speaking from our individualized experience and specifically on the topic of children who require support needs. If your child does not require support needs, you can "get by" on their educational programing. We have had several issues that are even outside of their lack of knowledge/compassion/involvement for children that require support needs. Our experience at Belville Elementary has been challenging, particularly regarding support services and student safety. While the general curriculum may be sufficient for children without additional needs, the school demonstrated a lack of understanding and involvement for children requiring support (e.g., language used "he/she isn't low enough on the spectrum to qualify for that"). Despite a formal ASD and SPD diagnosis, staff dismissed our request for on-site services without assessment (e.g., IEP). We did request an IEP immediately, but the other issues (listed below) just made us realize that it is not worth it to fight it and to ultimately discontinue our child's educational journey there. Additionally and most importantly, safety concerns arose when our child was being bullied and then was ultimately disciplined for defending herself, while more concerning behavior from other students was minimized (e.g., the statement, "boys will be boys" was allegedly mentioned by the principal when I was speaking to another parent about a different issue). These safety concerns is what ultimately led us to seek alternative education. While some families may have a different experience, we found the environment lacking in support, structure, and responsiveness.I am rating this school at 2 stars because my child loves their teacher and the teacher seems to be separated from the political climate of the administration.

Belville Elementary is a wonderful community of dedicated teachers and staff that truly care about their students. As a parent, I feel well informed and encouraged by the efforts of my daughters' teachers year after year. In a time when schools have been struggling with attendance, health and keeping students engaged I feel that Belville Elementary has succeeded where others have not. The staff has gone above and beyond to make sure that everyone feels safe and encouraged. I am truly grateful to be a part of such a great elementary school community!

The staff at the school is great, All of my daughters teachers have been great...its a shame they have such uncompassionate leadership and system. They are kicking my daughter who has been going here since kindergarten, now in 3rd grade, because we had to temporarily move out of the district and I only live not even 5 minutes farther from where I did before. I planned on being back in the district next year but my wife was told we had to file a request for her to stay, but that the board has never approved one, virtually dissuading us from even trying. It is extremely disappointing, disheartening, and unfair to my 9 year old who doesnt understand and is blaming her self and now hates school after this school built her up. Im so sad for her and other elementary students to have to endure such cruelty. Now after months of virtual learning, she now has to readjust even though she has had problem adjusting to yet another new situation. Even when I move back in to the district, I will not be bring my daughter back to this school. I can no longer trust them with the well being of my child.

Have two kids that go to this school and have had great experiences with the teachers, principal and staff. The school tackles Bullying and has a wonderful motto - Be a Buddy, not a Bully. Principal and Teachers are hand on's and communicate with parents regularly. Our 2nd grader does 4th grade work and our Kindergartner is reading and writing sentences before his 6th bday! Highly recommend this school.

I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. My child has attended Belville for 2 years and has been labled as having a learning disability by staff due to him not learning. My child is a smart, normal child who is simply NOT being taught. I have seen kids enter this school with straight As and become B and C students within a year due to the subpar teaching and cirriculum. Check out the school's test scores and do your research before you make your decision. This school will enable your child.

This School is excellent and teachers are very hard worker. My childrens are really learning there. Belville mean all about learning and also new principal is very hard worker and a very strong parson. She organised all the Belville classes and activities. I think this the challenging academic school we are very happy to choose this school.
