Teachers are awesome, admin not so much. Bad kids/parents run this school. Disrespect runs rampant. Disgusting how kids talk to adults and nothing done

Top notch school! We cannot say enough about the teachers and other staff. Everyone makes us feel welcome and right at home. Our child has excelled in school and learned so much more beyond our expectations.

Sunset Valley is the districts newest elementary school being built in 2009. My daughter has attended since it's open and is now in 3rd grade. She loves her school and teachers and has started to mature and pick up on material she use to struggle with due to teacher support as well as classified support staff. The A+ students (high school) that come in to help are also very useful. I wish there were more activities for the lower grades (musicals, honor roll options, sport related, etc) but that is a district wide thing. I moved to Lee's Summit 5 years ago strictly for the district and to make sure my daughter started her Kindergarten year in this wonderful district and I must say I am more than pleased and would not go to any other missouri school district. Mrs. Trigg (principal) has been a great asset for the school since the resignation of Susan Romeo.
