I am beyond disappointed with the school district(I have a child in lms too) and especially this school. My children were new to the district this fall.Since then:*my sons first day he was denied lunch(he was given crackers by the nurse and made to call me himself to bring him a lunch) because the person at Central office hadn't processed his free lunch application in a TIMELY MANNER and the District has a no charge policy*the school's phone lines have been down at least 6 times; and on perfectly nice sunny days, no rain, wind or snow to disturb them!*The district has cut the school budget which is apparently why the phone lines the school has are inadequate and my son can justifiably be denied food, yet the town has a brand spanking new town hall and police station!* My 9 year old son has had his work thrown in the trash in front of his class and the next second told to fish it out....the offense? Not having his name on it.*His teacher complained that he uses the bathroom too much, this has never been an issue before.*The school is dated:phone lines not working are just the beginning; not having heat, not having running water, or the school being too hot (it was a sauna in October) are some of the reasons I received on a paper from the school telling me to make a plan for my son to feed for himself while I'm at work in another town in case the school unexpectedly closes because there are only three phone lines and the chances of him being able to call me are slim. There isn't even an answering machine for the main line, they just take it off the hook at the end of the day. I've called after hours for it to ring busy. There isn't a cafeteria or kitchen. If you want your kid to eat school lunch you have to fill out an ORDER FORM (like a hospital) at least a week ahead of time for them to get subpar food. No one told me this and since my son thought I knew, he didn't get breakfast for about two weeks after school started. My child has never taken up my offer to bring his lunch from home, this past month he has asked to.I could keep going....
