This is our families first year attending Nativity and we were accepted into the community with open arms. Every transition is difficult and Nativity staff and parents have reached out to us to make sure we are acclimating well. The teachers challenge the students and go out of their way to see them succeed. Nativity also listens to my concerns as a parent and implements the suggestions I make or gives an explanation. Every time I see they have the best interest of their students in mind. They have tutoring after school some days and many after school activities. Students gain valuable confidence and social skills from these activities. The staff knows everyone by name and goes above and beyond to help parents and students where they are struggling.I found all parents are accepting to talking to me and participating in their activities as long as I make the effort to come out of my comfort zone and talk to them.I have heard of bullying and I heard it at the last school our family was enrolled in. Nativity does not ignore bullying. They send out emails to help parents get involved and hold school rallies to help the children be more socially acceptable. Start at home and voice a concern if needed. Nativity will listen and help. This school is my families second home and I'm proud my family gets to attend Nativity.

We have been at this school for many years and have witnessed the decline in both the academics and the overall environment over the past 5 years. The school enrollment has showed a steady decrease and fewer teachers due to budget cuts (NOT due to demographics as the administration and Parish staff will communicate). I strongly encourage any parent considering this school to view the nearby carholic or public schools for a comparison. Look beyond the aesthetics. It is alarming to see the number of faith filled families who have chosen to transfer their kids to other schools due to academic concerns and priblems with bullying. The current administration will make a great presentation and many promises but they do not follow through and unfortunately there is no one for administration to be accountable too. Any parent that does advocate for their childs education or reaches out for help with bullying becomes identified as a problem family and the target for gossip amongst the office. Such a disappointment from a "faith based" school.

When comparing Nativity to other privite AND public schools in the area, there is no doubt that Nativity is ferther ahead academically.

This school does deliver the Catholic Faith in a great way. The administrators lack the leadership that the teachers could really use. The Principal is more concerned with face time instead of actually keeping the parents informed. We left the school and are very happy with the surrounding public school options. A lot of issues are swept under the rug to save face. BUT, the parents are great and that part of our experience will be missed. If you want a school with proactive leaders this is not the place. It would seem that the teachers are dwarfed by lack of support and follow through of their current leader. They do have a few good and gifted teachers but the amount of turnover would tell a different story. Good Luck in your search!

Nativity has reached my expectations and beyond. The team of teachers in every grade works hard to meet the individual needs of every student. Each child is challenged but not overwhelmed based on diagnostic testing placing them with the proper teacher many times a year. No child is stuck on a track but may move in and out of differentiated reading and math groups based on the content for each unit. The principal values security, high quality education, but most importantly the spiritual development of the child and the Catholic Identity of the school.

i just graduated from 8th grade this year, and although the education is good, some of the teachers give rediculous homework assignments, others benefited. When i came here in 5th grade i wasn't accepted the way i wanted to. My grade also had some mean and rambuncheous boys who were mean to me most of my 7th grade and 8th grade years. Just to give you an idea, 5 people left after my 6th grade year (one was my friend) there becuase they were getting bullied, so the next year i was the next target. Now i am the smallest boy in the grade, and im nice, so it is easier for other boys to mess with me. I was frustrated my 7th grade year because getting messed with affected the way my grades were. 8th grade got a little better for me, but i still wasn't as happy as i wanted to be. Plus being down in the basement for 2 years at this school is unsanitray, becuase there is bad ventilation down there. I also hated recess during 7th and 8th grade because no boy would include me if i was too late, but yet if it were me i would have for sure. Funny jokes in class were good, Worlds of fun was cool, and the 8th grade play was great. I also have a brother going into 6th grade and he's okay with it.

My kids have attended Nativity since kindergarten. We have found it to be a great fit for our family. I feel the teachers really care about the progress of their students. My kids continue to be challenged academically with a strong curriculum and have had many opportunities to excel while having their faith infused into their daily learning. They are involved in the extra curricular activities offered as well as service projects in the community. As a parent, I also enjoy being involved in the many volunteer opportunities available. The staff and families that attend Nativity are warm and caring which really makes it feel like a big extended family. I would recommend Nativity to anyone considering a faith based education.

After much debate we switched from a nearby public school to Nativity and could not be happier with our decision. We love the family atmosphere at the school. I feel like everyone knows each other, and if not they really make an effort to get to know you. With everything else going on in this world, I really believe a faith based education is something our children need. Nativity excels not only academically, but in the faith based area as well. I would encourage anyone living in the Nativity Parish School boundaries to seriously consider sending your children here. Also, my husband and I don't drive a Mercedes and will never be able to, yet we still fit in and feel completely comfortable in the Nativity community.

I have a love/hate relationship with this school. It is like more or less any other school, with pros and cons. For example, pros could be that the school is beautiful, computer lab, music room, art room and resource room. The cons when we moved to this area from out of state and the school had great recomendations but my kids never felt accepted. You must drive a Mercedes to be accepted and I felt like their was favortism going on to select school families and family cliche from the parish. We left Nativity and now attending a great catholic school nearby that has a family atmosphere and welcomed my kids with open arm. They are very happy and active in our new school

Niativity Parish School is a wonderful faith-based curriculum with high academic standards. The parish community is very active and the kids are given many opportunities to be involved in service and extracurricular activities. The teachers and administration are dedicated professionals who continually look for ways to improve the school, the classroom and overall experience of the students.
