    It is sad to say that St. Philomena School is closed and has been closed for three years. While my children were at St. Philomena, they received a very good educations and I was trully upset when we were notified that the school was closing.

    This school is definitely a step above the local public school. The WPSD could use a major overhaul. However, St Philomena's School also needs some work in major areas. I believe the teachers need professional development. Many are not aware of how to be effective without yelling, screaming, bullying, or sarcasm. If you decide this school is for you, investigate everything. Question a lot.
