I did have some positive experiences because of LHS, but overall I think of this school with dread. The climate created by students here is very harsh. People see bad things happening & look away.

I am very pleased with the education my son received at LHS. He worked hard, had very good teachers and made great friends. His college gave him a full ride at a very small private college. thanks to all at LHS.

My son just started his freshman year at LHS. He was very worried about starting high school, but so far the teachers have helped him when needed and he hasn't complained about bullying or any of that nonsense.I think the biggest criticism I have is the lack of air conditioning. They either need to have A/C put in or start hosing down some of these kids with deoderant, because it gets pretty ripe in there during warm weather.

I just started going here for 10th grade this year, and I have to say, the education system is horrendous. They rush too fast and teach 10th graders college level subjects and expect you to be perfect. They also want everyone to be athletic, or else they treat you like your nothing. I have to admit, I am not enjoying it here and wish to return back to homeschooling. One positive thing is Ive made a lot of great friends but honestly Lancaster is a joke. It's just another Groveport Madison.

Lancaster city schools have provided my child with a very good education thus far. My daughter is in honor classes in lancaster high school currently.. The high school is a very old building which is over crowed. The girls basketball program is a joke. The head coach has ran off several very good players because of her attitude and how she acts like the girls owe her something. The girls basketball team have several very talented players, but the coaching staff is very inexperienced to say the least. We are looking for a new school due to how the coaches treat the girls. This is a division 1 school with a very sad record for the girls basketball team. They really need to look for a new head varsity coach.
