Willow Charter Academy is an outstanding school. I have supported the school throughout the Covid period, with several of my children enrolled there. The Academy is through the roof now. If I were you, I would give them a try like I did; you won't be disappointed.

TERRIBLE MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN BULLIED ALL LAST YEAR AND ALREADY STARTED THIS YEAR!!! When 7 girls went to jump her last year a teacher told her “when they put their hands on you we will deal with it” in 3rd grade!!! And I’m just leaving the ER bc a kid “accidentally bumped” into her at lunch… but after two days ago having to file a police report bc another students mother threaten to put her hands on my kid… I went to the school and showed them the report and today got call from school nurse… the administrators are trying to cover it up but I’m NOT LETTING THIS GO!!!

THE SCHOOL WAS GREAT THE LAST 3 YEARS WERE GREAT, O TOLERANCE FOR FIGHTING, YET THE KIDS THAT ATTENDED THE SCHOOL DIDN'T REALLY HAVE DISCIPLINE ISSUES, THE CONFRONTATION BETEWEEN KIDS WERE MINOR AND MOST DEANS WOULDN'T PUT UP WITH KIDS INTERUPTING CLASSES AND DISRESPECTING TEACHERS, MY KIDS EDUCATION IS AFFECTED BY KIDS WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR EDUCATION SO THEY AFFECT OTHERS, THE TEACHERS THERE LOOK TIRED AND WORN OUT WHEN I PICK MY CHILD UP AT THE END OF THE DAY, MY CHILD COMPLAINS THAT ONE STUDENT CUTS UP IN CLASS ALL DAY, SHE IS SENT OUT AND HIGHER AUTHORITY SENDS HER BACK, WHAT HAPPEN TO REFERRALS, SUSPENSIONS, THEN EXPULSIONS, IF THESE KIDS DO NOT LISTEN THEN DONT NEED TO BE AT THAT PARTICULAR SCHOOL. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY KIDS WON'T BE RETURNING TO THIS SCHOOL NEXT YEAR, THE DEANS DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND THE PRINCIPLE LOOKS CLUELESS, WHOSES RUNNING THIS SCHOOL THE KIDS!?

This is a terrible school. I would not suggest you send your child or apply for a job. The pay is high compared to surrounding areas it seems, but I think you’d be better working at another place or homeschooling your child,

I transferred my son to this school after hearing about all the specials that they offered, thinking it gave him more opportunities. However, after 7 weeks, I didn't accomplish anything in any of his specials classes, due to behavior problems from the other children. All students were made to suffer because of the behavior of a few. My son spent most of his time walking the blue line in the halls. He rarely got recess due to the behavior of others as well. My son was also harassed because he was white on a daily basis as well.

Having Willow Charter Academy in our lives has been a blessing for my family. As soon as you arrive to school you are greeted with such enthusiasm from the staff, it motivates the children. Being called a "Scholar" , not just another student was something I have never seen before. This allows a child to feel successful before they enter the classroom. The curriculum is simply being implemented without effort or boredom from the children. They are excited, they are learning, and their is a different outlook on the future if our children in Lafayette Parish. My children are in clubs of exemplary behavior and distinguished attitudes, these children are proud to do the right thing and not afraid to help someone who may be steering in the opposite direction. Willow gives you hands on interaction with technology, allows for different methods of learning styles because not every child learns the same, promotes positive behavior, superb staff who are not there just to teach your child but believes in your child, interventionist who work individually to aide those who may be struggling more than others, open door policies, and so so much more.

The staff is great and my kids actually wake up excited to go to school. The teachers and deans really work with kids one on one and they keep you informed on their performance. I personally rate this school one of the best schools in Lafayette , La !!!!
