This skhool is absolutely HORIBLE!!!!!!! Fights happen ALL the time!!!!!!!! The teachers barely teach anything!!!!!!! And the lunch is SUPPER DISGUSTING!!!!!!! DONT LET UR KIDS COM HERE EVER!!!!!! THE STUDENTS DISRESPECT OTHER STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ALL THE TIME!!!!!! THIS IS A VERRY BAAD SKOOL!!!!

I have always liked working in schools with at-risk students. You definitely hear the rumors about certain schools having worked in the school system for 14 years like I have. This school is not what you hear about it. It is an excellent school, with devoted faculty and staff, and the students are excellent and always polite while walking the halls. Yes, every school will have minor issues here and there. What I am asking, is don't judge a book by its cover!! Come and see the great things we are doing at Lafayette Middle School. My son has been in the Environ. Science Program here for two years. He really struggled last year because of a lot of absences due to illnesss; but the teachers were caring and the Guidance Counselor, Ms. Constantine, couldn't have been more wonderful and encouraging. He's doing better this year; he still has some challenges, but he;s improving. He used to hate school, and beg me to homeschool or let him do online school; now he is excited about learning new things; especially Science (thanks to Mr. Owens).

I am a 'teacher' at Lafayette Middle School. Though we do serve the rougher parts of town, this school is a wonderful place. We're currently cracking down on bad behavior and troublesome students. This is all thanks to the new principal. I have experienced nothing but positive things with the staff members. They're very eager to help and will almost do anything to see their students excel. Once you get past the rough outside and really get to the heart of this school, you'll realize that it's a good place to be.

my daughter goes to this school and loves it , she has awsome hands on teachers. She really likes the enviormental teacher and has learned so much @ this school. She loves it at this school, I cant wait for my son to go to this school!!!!!! Teachers are very involved with parents and kids <3

I went to this school in the late ,50's, was ok, got my drivers' licence there, walked from Brookside Dr to this shool. Don't remember any of the teachers, but the principle there was feared and he took over a class that I took one summer.
