  We love Summit so much. It's nice to have the small-town school feel while still being so close to La Crosse and all its conveniences. Summit is very hands-on with nature and teaches the kids best practices with regard to being respectful of nature. My daughter has been going here since 4k and is now in 2nd grade. Ms. Leon (4k), Ms. Wappler (2nd grade), Ms. Veum (School Social Worker) and Mr. O (PE) are the kindest most understanding people who have helped my daughter on difficult days. She has some behavioral challenges and this school has been very good for her emotional growth. I am forever grateful for the staffs' love and support of my daughter. Mr. Uribe (Principal) is an amazing addition to the school. He is very hands-on and is frequently assisting with drop-offs and pickups as well as other school events.We are sadly moving out of the state and will no longer be able to attend Summit. I wanted to share my parting thoughts on this school for anyone who might be considering Summit as an option. ...More Reviews

  Summit is a great school. The classroom sizes are small, and the teachers are really great and attentive. Mr. Hunter pays attention to his students and gets to know them on an individual basis. He is very involved with all the events. My child has had two years of pre-school there and is now entering kindergarten and I am hopeful he will have just as much success this year. His teacher was really great to work with and picked up on ways to handle my child so that it was a smooth experience for all involved. I think Summit has the perfect mix of hands-on learning, academics, and play. There were even kids learning how to rappel this past spring as part of the end-of-the-year celebration.
