Kelsey who works in the P.E. Physical Education Department is very Unprofessional and in my Opinion unfit to work with Children. Keep an Eyenon her around your Kids worst of all the Front Office is aware and Simply doesn't care she gets away with Mistreating Students and Staff

La Canada Elementary is an amazing school with a great sense of community. Very, very impressive all the way around.

Very disappointing for a 10 ranked school. Too many sub-par teachers in 3rd-6th grades. The new math curriculum is abysmal. They mostly care about state scores and are not willing to help (and are even biased against) under-challenged students. This is not a welcoming place for advanced students. Interesting to know that a vast majority of children are actually enrolled in outside private tutoring to compensate for the lacking curriculum at school. PE teacher was downright scary, it has finally changed recently though. On the plus side, it is extremely safe and you will meet a lot of involved families and sweet kids.

La Canada Elementary School is consistently ranked as one of the best elementary schools in California. It is safe, clean, has terrific teachers, a wonderful school spirit, and offers after-school child care on site.

The school is beautiful and clean, it's maintained well, staff are polite and approachable, and the teachers in general teach the children well. Parents are often involved in volunteering for the school. Our child has special needs, and the IEP team tries to come up with solutions for the child. There're hiccups and ups and downs, but overall pretty good. Though so far it hasn't been an optimal learning environment for my child, it probably would be, for most children.

We have 2 kids at this school, Grade 1 and Grade 4. My 9 year old has been attending LCE since Kindergarten and we have been extremely happy. She recently went on an amazing 2 night trip to Orange County with her class, where they visited the Mission at San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point. My 1st Grader is doing chess club and the kids all get weekly art lessons, computer lab and music lessons. The teachers have been very approachable and happy to communicate either by email or in person. They also introduced pre-K last year. The PTA is very active. I would highly recommend this school.

La Canada Elementary - We have been at this school for 4 years and my children started at 1st and 3rd grade. We love the school, the district and the community. What other 5th grade class gets to go to Valley Forge and tour Philadelphia for hands-on learning? Fantastic! The PTA is one of the most involved and helps the teachers and school by raising enough money for teacher's aides, computers and school programs.

This is a great school with supportive teachers and staff. In addition, the parents of the children here are very involved and fully committed to giving their children the best education possible. In an environment of ever-falling state funding, the LCFEF continually raises several million dollars each year (from donations from the community) to keep the quality of this and other LC schools high. I believe that my child is receiving better education than he can from a private school education.

This is without question one of the best schools in the area. I have two children at this school and they both enjoy it very much. Where else are you going to find music, art, drama, computer class, full library, a 20-1 child to teacher ratio for third grade and below, Spanish starting in 1st grade... its truly an amazing place. Moreover, when you walk through the campus it is beautifully kept and you get a real sense the children and teachers enjoy being there. The PTA is an army of over 70 people, most of which are stay-at-home Moms with bachelor and masters degrees that basically put all they have into the school. Its a great community where the focus really is the child. Oh and field trips too!

I am a student at this school. It is okay. The teachers are fabulous, but our PE coach punishes the entire grade if one person is rude. The psychologist is useless, and the principal is awful. Who accepts a job, then goes on maternity leave two months after? They think they are great, but really it is just the kids and parents.

I am pulling my children out too. The school does not respect or value parents concerns. The new PE teacher is very tempermental and benches the entire classroom for one child's misbehavior. The curriculum is based on getting the test scores up and not educating children.

It's okay. I might be pulling my daughter from this school. I'm not happy with their services.
