Both of my children attended Silverfork, one K through 8th grade and the other K through 6th. Silverfork is able to give attention to students that a larger school or large classroom cannot. The teachers were always aware of each individual child, their needs and what motivations worked best for them. The school itself is steeped in history and they continue much of that tradition today with the plays and musical performances they have always put on for the Christmas program. Parental involvement has always been encouraged which have given the kids lessons in golf, gardening, music, horticulture, agriculture and even knitting. This close-knit community tends to be very involved in the school on a regular basis and I truly feel my children are better for having attended.

I graduated from this little school in the 8th grade in 1965! There were only 5 of us in the 8th grade. Two rooms, two teachers, and one of them was also the principal. The lower grades were in one room, and upper grades in the other. I remember each grade was one row of desks. So much fun! Beautiful place to live, great neighbors.

I graduated from the eigth grade there in 1966. I loved it, even though my Dad was the teacher and principal.
