My kids absolutely love this school and all of their teachers they have had from kindergarten to fourth grade so far!!! They engage with kids and have a lot of after school things for families and kids to attend and have fun learning with it also. They have a new principal that has done an amazing job with everything and supports the kids and teachers with so much!!! Thank you to all the staff at belle Morris!!!

This new principal is not up to par. He doesn’t answer calls, emails, etc. It doesn’t matter if it’s school to school email or parent email. The school is dirty. The SRO sits in a single classroom (how safe is that?). There are a few teachers who bully students with diverse backgrounds (several witnesses to this). Obviously, they do have some good ones, but their silence is putting them in the bad apple category.

My children fall into a variety of need categories, and the school staff has genuinely gone out of their way to help them succeed. Parents have a duty to stay informed about what is happening and their options, and the school staff is pulling their weight to bring up concerns and address concerns parents like myself bring to the table. The majority of the teachers love and challenge their students.

The teachers dont do anything really when the kids mis behave also the kids dont listen to the teachers

I went to Belle Morris as a child, and as such, had high expectations. Unfortunately, they weren't met. My first child's kindergarten year was perfunctory at best. He was reading, writing, and comprehending at a 3rd grade level, but all I heard about his progress was the negative. My second child's kindergarten year was awful. The teacher seemed disinterested in teaching. She seemed to dislike children. The principal is nice, but seems overwhelmed. There is a strict uniform policy and I found that inhibiting. Polo style shirts are more expensive than t-shirts, and I don't understand the point behind it. Especially when the other schools in the area don't employee a uniform policy. The only positive I found was my first son's first grade teacher. I'll say Mr. Himmel was incredible! He personally interacted with each child, on their level, and taught each of them on an individual basis according to their specific needs. I thought he was wonderful. However, I'm moving before the start of the next school year, to a better school district. I hope to give my children a chance at a better education than I feel they would receive at this school.
