We couldn't fathom being in any other school. Beaumont is truly our family.

We love this school. The teachers are great and you can tell they love their students. We love that the school is arts focused. I don't know another school in the county where all students can take dance and theater as part of their regular curriculum.

We have had kids in this school 9 years out of the past 15 years. We love it. Such a great neighborhood school. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.

Excellent! The principal LOVES this school and feels strongly that staff, teachers, AND parents are critical components of effective learning. The arts integrated curriculum is an incredible experience for the kids. It feels like a family the whole time you are here, for both parents and students. We all wish Beaumont could be extended into middle school!

I am a former teacher at Beaumont and have very few positive comments about the school. The teachers are phenomenal and work exceptionally hard considering the poor conditions and limited resources. They are passionate about their profession and genuinely love the children they serve. The administration as a whole is not supportive of the teachers and often only stay two years before transferring (though there are a few assistant principals who have been exceptions). Because of the poor administration, discipline problems abound, and the teacher turnover rate is also high. There is an obvious disparity between honors and regular classrooms, and it was not uncommon to find mold or mouse droppings in the regular classrooms. As far as the playground goes, it was common to spend recess picking up garbage or shards of glass. Overall, I could not recommend this school to anyone.

The MAGNET Teachers are great...administration is awful! The dance teacher wouldn't allow my daughter to go to the restroom when she asked and called me and told me that she had an "accident"...My husband didn't know my daughter was not suppose to go to school in her Halloween costume, administration called me and told me in a snotty, uncalled for tone: "You need to bring your child a change of clothes!" with little explanation... Parents were invited to have lunch but no details were provided as to when to show up. The list goes on and on. If I could take the teachers and place them in a different school with different administration, it could be awesome. Not to mention the location is awful, the have to do a lock down at least once a month because of the crime outside the building...such a disappointment!
