Knightsen Elementary is such a special community. We celebrate traditions that have been happening for multiple generations. Some teachers had been working so long at the school that they were then teaching their previous student's children. Keeping kindness and good character as a huge priority from admin. We have been in the district since 2017 and I love the school, the kids, and the staff. My oldest has started at Liberty and is thriving even coming from an 8th grade class of 23 to a freshman class of 700something. KES is great!

I love Knightsen elementary. The staff cares about the children growing academically, socially, and in being good people.

Great school for this small rural community.

The decline in positive reviews over the years says it all. This school could be so great, if it had good leadership.

Very poor. The staff and teachers are always rushed for time. I couldn’t get calls back from the principal. The teachers are snappy and do not seem to want help

It started great a few years ago but has gone downhill significantly. I cannot speak for Old River. I have only worked there a few days. Staffing is constantly changing, programs are constantly in jeopardy, children are getting worse, and classroom sizes are constantly increasing. It has a pool and they teach swimming - but beware of the locker rooms as they constantly flood from the septic backups.

Knightsen school is a nurturing and comfortable environment . I am currently blessed to be the President of 2nd Trimester. I recommended this school to anyone in the Oakley and Brentwood area. These classes at Knightsen are great and hold high standards. Go to Knightsen!

I feel it is a privilege to send my kids to this school. Class sizes are small, the staff is supportive of each other, the parents are actively involved. Supplies are abundant. The food is healthy, the kids participate in swimming, music and art from Kindergarten on. The principal has made some not so popular decisions but has stuck to his convictions and I commend him for that. All in all Knightsen turns out compassionate, caring well mannered educated children who are learning to THINK not just "do something"

I completely agree! There were several Knightsen grads in the top 20 of the Freedom High School class. Thank you Knightsen. Credit where credit is due.
