I’ve been at this school for three years. Not a single person has been nice to me, teachers are slightly rude and no one even wants to be there.

I have 2 children at this school and their teachers have been wonderful. They have taken the time to really get to know my children and have made themselves available any time I've had questions or concerns. My children seem to be at the same education level as their peers in other schools that may have higher ratings. The administration are always willing to hear suggestions and listen to concerns and have taken these into consideration and have even implemented change. I'm very impressed with the various programs that have been implemented to improve the school. Overall, we have had a very good experience here.

Our family has had a very positive experience at the school. Staff members are readily available if you need to speak to them.

I have 3 children in the Central School, in K, 2nd, and 4th. I have been pleased with their classroom teachers so far. As a parent, I really like the small town atmosphere of Keyport Central. Since this is a walking district (no buses), we can get to know the other parents and families at pick up and drop off. Our kids also stay in the same school till HS instead of changing schools and bus schedules every few years. The kids get recess every day and are outside as much as the weather permits which is important developmentally. I wish they would bring back handwriting and cursive but that seems to be the academic trend across the country. We work on that at home. Another nice thing is that the kids have homework but not a crushing amount compared to other school districts. The teachers strike a nice balance. In 4th, the homework is 1 math sheet, 1 reading assignment, 15-20 mins of reading per night. It’s reasonable and do-able. The kids still have spelling tests, which other districts have abandoned for some reason. Again, I think spelling tests are important so I like this as well.

My daughter's Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers have been incredible. Down to earth but professional with lots individualized attention. The full day Pre-k is a great advantage with this school. Administration is open to ideas and feedback from parents. Facilities are somewhat lacking as it is a smaller school and the music program could be more robust. Overall, the low rating for this school do not reflect our experience.

Excellent, caring, teachers and administrators. My sons have had a wonderful experience at KCS. I'm extremely happy with the education they've received thus far.

I went to this school 11 years of my life. It was an amazing experience. The teachers are wonderful and I was able to learn and expand my knowledge there. It's a very old school and very old school environment. I loved my experience there, I'm in high school now. From my knowledge that I was taught here, by high school teachers in grammar school, I was able to get a scholar ship to Mater Dei Prep. I'm a freshman there this year and I owe it all to Keyport Central School for providing me with such great education. I would definitely rage Keyport Central School 5 stars. Go Indians!!!!
