Would not recommend this school at all. I'm moving out of this school district because it is so bad. There is no diversity whatsoever, there is bullying and a lot of white supremacist people. DO NOT go here if LGBTQIA+ at all. You would not be able to come out without being harassed daily for it. A friend of mine gets called slurs on the daily for being out. This school has me scared to be myself.

Very disappointed in this school district. Transferred my family from a bigger school district to Kearney, despite being warned by a friend about a bullying issue. This year was going okay because the “mean girls” all seem to have last names L-Z and thanks to the hybrid schedule my youngest daughter didn’t have to interact with them. When it was announced that they would be returning 5 days a week, I was told that I couldn’t switch my daughter to online only despite transportation concerns. In the past, numerous time children have had to sit on the floor of the bus. I was told that this “might not” be an issue this year because parents are really answering the call for transporting to/from school. That isn’t an option for me. And these other parents? It’s easy to get your kid to/from school 2 days a week but 5? Not likely a solution for many! It’s a COVID outbreak waiting to happen. So many things to hate about this district. Only had experience with two other districts, one which isn’t as highly rated as Kearney, but my daughter says she’d choose it over Kearney any day.

Kearney High School is a great school. The kids are smart, the teachers are great. The way that they get the kids ready for college is fantastic. All three of my kids graduated and went off to college, where they also graduated. No complaints!

All schools have good and bad aspects but for an overall quality education, access to a multitude of extra-curricular activities, and teachers and staff that care, you can't top Kearney. My children are not star athletes nor the star students but these teachers have gone out of their way to help each of my children recognize their potential. And the support of this community is amazing! Maybe I shouldn't write this...it may give away the secret of this fabulous district and people will flock here. Scratch everything I just said!

IMO, this is such a dissappointing school ... Academics and getting kids ready for college and real life just doesn't seem to be a priority, and the decision making within this district baffles me.

Very poor school. Caters to Athletics and Gifted students. My children only had 2 teachers that cared about their progress in the 8 years they attended there. Liberty schools are MUCH better, send your kids there.
