My daughter experienced such trauma at this school, years later we are still recovering. Her first grade teacher was screaming at her regularly. Another parent witnessed this and informed me. When I approached the school I was fed lines from a book and they basically refused to do anything about it. I pulled her from this school and she flourished at her new school. The teacher in question left the school the next year.

Spotty at first, but don't underestimate the teachers, parents, and staff at this school. in 2018, the kids who participated in the Destination Imagination challenge for the year went to GLOBALS to compete with 20+ other countries in an incredible competition for creative thinking and logics development. This school is a diamond in the rough.

This school is fantastic! I have to say that my husband and I were a little unhappy with the fact that this was the school our son would be registered in because of the scores shown in this website. Truth is that we were proven wrong about all the tings we had imagined about it. Every single member of the staff that we have been in contact with has been very professional, friendly and kind. Our son is very happy and his academic improvement is noticeable. They really care about your children. The TWI program is the best thing that Katy ISD has implemented in their schools. It is a real challenge for the children since they are receiving regular class schedule in both English and Spanish equally. We are looking forward to our younger son's first year in school with Ms. Quintanilla and Ms. Vasquez. They have been truly amazing with our older son. It's not only the quality of their teaching, but the way they interact with the children and the parents. You can truly count on them. I would strongly recommend Memorial Parkway Elementary School! You won't regret your decision when you see how happy and successful your children become.

ratings online it does not represent what the school is for real. The principal is awesome, Mr. Troy Kemp is out there every morning greeting his students. Teachers are really nice. My son is on Two Way Immersion. Awesome program. My son now write and read in both languages and he just finished kinder. The counselor, the most lovely person, we LOVE her, Mrs Russell, every morning so active always smiling, always paying attention to her kids, she is more than awesome. We are really happy and comfortable with the support we received from her. She is very firm too. Mrs. Sanchez, one special lady for us as a family, she pay so much attention to the kids during lunch time, impressive. She has helped my son so much she is my hero, she did anything necessary to see my son eating, and I am pretty sure if she reads this she will know right away who is the student. Thank you Mrs Sanchez, always. TWI teachers, awesome, maybe not very friendly with parents but I would say...I guess it is not easy to deal with Kinder parents... I do respect all the effort Mrs Gonzalez and Mrs Martin put on teaching all this time our kids. Coach, dont remember his last name, PE coach was very kind too. Maybe the classrooms were not the nicest ones but the education exceed my expectations. We are so comfortable now. We are very happy. We love parents, students, teachers, everybody. I wish more parents could type a review so this could help more parents to feel more comfortable to have MPE as an option. I will support this school, and everybody who works there. Trying to buy a house based on the school. School needs renovations, maybe more safety features from my point of view. Excellent school!!! Please talk to parents, ask them what do they think about the school when they are waiting for their kids, it will help you decide if this is the right school.

Memorial Parkway's Two-Way Immersion Program is excellent! My daughter has been reading and writing in English and Spanish since kindergarten last year. She is doing great in math and in her other subjects as well. In comparing notes with parents of children in 1st grade at other schools and in other districts, MPE's curriculum seems much more challenging. The teachers and administrative staff are wonderful. The principal is super supportive, accessible and engaged. My daughter loves attending her school, and we are thrilled with it! I'd give it a full five stars if it wasn't for the state of the building and grounds. Having celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, the school needs serious renovations. The money from this year's fundraiser is apparently earmarked for interior and exterior improvements. So hopefully it's successful enough to address some of these issues.

Memorial Parkway is an excellent school, with great teachers and a caring staff. Have two children that have attended for three years. Teachers offer extra help to children that require it.

I absolutely love this school. I have an older child that went through school in Pennsylvania and this school surpasses any of the schools my older child has gone through. The teacher my son has had this year is phenomenal. She has qualities I have not seen in a teacher for a long long time. She truly cares about her students. You can see it by the way she is with each and every student. My son is in pre-k this year and I hate to see him go to Kindergarten next year where he won't have the same teacher. I know teachers change every year but I would love to have had Mrs. Erickson as a teacher for both my children. She is awesome.
