This school is ridiculous. The rampant bullying and discrimination against white kids at this school by other kids, SOME teachers, and SOME administrators is intolerable. From bus drivers who turn a cheek when multiple older kids attack a 7 year old, saying they are going to kill her, until her older sister rescues her and pulls her to safety to teachers who discard threats of violence, not even reporting it to administration. This is all lead by a principal who is obviously naïve that this is all going on. While she speaks highly of the school, it is all smoke and mirrors. When questioned what the stance is on bullying, I’m advised that it is illegal and not tolerated, however, when presented with facts of ongoing bullying that’s being allowed I’m told that multiple threats and physical attacks on my children by the multiple members of the same family is not considered bullying. The school administration ALLOWS this to happen yet touts that they are anti-bullying. I am sorry that I allowed my kids to attend this school, and it has gotten much worse since the Kalamazoo Promise began. If you care about your children’s welfare, do NOT send them to this school. Unfortunately, Milwood Middle is worse, taking everything to another level. I cannot end without noting that there are several teachers in the school who truly do care about the kid’s welfare, trying to do the right thing. Unfortunately, others outweigh them. I will no longer stand for this, and will no longer allow my children to attend this school.

There is no organization, the office staff is very dismissive and absolutely no help, there is no designated drop off area, kids can't get in at 8:30 when they are supposed to...causing many parents to be late for work. This is by far the worst school I have had to deal with.
