Loy Norrix has a lot of great teachers and students. My kids enjoyed their high school experience at Loy Norrix.

The principal ignores needs of black students with IEPs. Now the building is under partnership agreement with state for ATS because underperformance and not meeting needs of disabled students. Go figure. Ineffective leaders from top down.

the janitors do NOT know how to clean they do NOT care about children who are special needs children they just push them through and they do NOT care about bullying at all. the security guards should be walking the grounds of the school for kids skipping class, kids having intercourse on school grounds. kids smokiing and drinking on school grounds, kids fighting on school grounds instead of just sitting on their butts. i am so glad we pulled our children out.. very very dissappointed

Loy Norrix has a good educational envernment but lacks good leadership and disciplinary classes to help young minds to adjust to becoming a smart minded adult

As a alumni of Loy Norrix I would highly recommend the school to prospective students. Yes it has a bad rap and you hear mostly about the negative aspects to it but it was a wonderful school for me and I don't regret a minute I spent there. I was very active in athletics and the music department all of my 4 years there. I never once had a problem with a teacher, student or activity that I participated in. I was not a gifted student academically and I always had teachers that were more than willing to work with me after school and between classes to ensure my success. I enjoyed a variety of the classes offered including French, law and gym. Every school has its issues and Norrix is no exception however, don't let the amount of negative reviews on this site scare you away from sending your children here. High school isn't easy for anyone, you have to apply and push yourself in order to succeed.
