This school has a major problem organizing things, that's because we have to many students going there, the teachers not all are rude and misunderstanding, most of the guidance counselors are no help.

Currently have a child that attends.Guidance is a joke- as well as specific AP. I am convinced not all are, unfortunately we are unlucky with who is assigned to us. NO parental involvement is accepted, you will have to rely on these people to make the right choices for your children.Unfortunately not every teacher is a perfect fit for every child- which we are now experiencing.. and the wrong teacher can make or break your child’s education there. With that being said, we are thankful that our child has some great teachers to make up for some of the disappointments there.

At first, I would have reccomended you go to JHS. I was saying I had been proud to eventually become an alumni, but not now. I was fooled into believing it. Organization is some of the worst I had ever seen in a school. Guidance is terrible. Information that should be out and common knowledge is not, it slides under and no one seems to care. That is not ok. There were too many times where I had too many problems with information. Information is crucial to school functioning. There is also other things. One is, it is way too easy to fake community service in some years of the graduating classes. It is not possible that 22 had more hours than 18, 19, 20, and 21. How does that even work? I DO NOT claim that every person had, but I think some might have and got away with it. Students who work so hard are put in the shadows, no one cares. They make mistakes with student recognition(happened to me too many times), they use MIDDLE SCHOOL grades in calculating the tops of the class. I missed out on recieving things because of how poor it can be. They never got my records, didn't tell us. That is not fair. I cannot stand proudly for a school with these issues. At awards, the same person gets the award to where it is rediculous and does not give anyone else a chance. I am not trying to say it is all bad, but this ruined my good experiences.

Great school honestly, yes there are always pros and cons but JHS is probably one of the best high schools in the area. Yes, it is full of preppy rich kids that think they are better than everyone but after moving to almost 6 schools in my life JHS had to be one for the top. The student body is wonderfully organized, most of the teachers are genuine and care about their students, and there is a variety of courses you can take on almost anything and everything. All the positives aside it is also a terribly expensive school. Coming from a low-income house, they require you to pay to attend almost anything. You can't go to prep rallies if you haven't paid your student fees, you have to pay to join some clubs, and just wouldn't recommend the stress of having to try to fit in with the rich "daddy's money" kids. Yes is it an AMAZING school in my experience just not for everyone :)

My son went to this school from 2012-2014. It was such a great experience. Some of his teachers really inspired him, especially History teachers, and he had some amazing AP classes. All his AP classes really set him up for success in college. His counselor was also very nice. The only bad class he had was Art- the teacher didn't seem to have much control of the class. We were so relieved to be at Jupiter High after the horrible time at IMS. It seems they finally let the kids have some freedom and respect once they reach high school in Palm Beach County. The school is also beautiful, with new buildings. I feel very lucky that my son went here.

First few years at JHS were great for the most part. This last year has been a bust. This year most of my child's teachers assign copying or busywork during class time while the teacher spends their time on their phones or computers. My child has never even seen the principal while in prior years the principal was a common figure around the school. Additionally, my child has spent four years in an "in-house" academ:, 2 electives per semester consuming their schedule and said child has zero to show for it at the end. I asked the head of the academy: my child is doing college applications and stating on them that child was e in this academy. Will child get something showing they were? Head looks dumbfounded and says, I don't think so. I say, well how will we show we didn't make it up on the applications? Head says, I think maybe they get a cord at graduation. I ask, what color cord? Head says, I don't know. So here it is graduation time. Child has nothing to show they were in the academy. Kind of a joke....

Upon registering my child I felt as though I was putting the admin working at the front desk out of their way. A couple of my child's teachers don't seem to care much other than get though the day , not putting any extra effort in unless a parent keeps on top of them with emails. They do not have parent teacher conferences. Very laid back or maybe moving here from the North where the teachers are very proficient and on top of things is the difference. Even the students are wishy washy and don't care much so it feels. This school I thought was the choice as the other was Dwyer . Probably should have done more research .
