If I could go into the negatives I honestly would. This school is disgusting, looks like no one ever cleans it. There is a SEWAGE smell. There is always something broken here. Students throwing up sick because the heat doesn't work and with the combined smell of sewage? Disgusting. There is mold and mildew in the music building. Students breathing in that stuff could cause serious medical issues. This school is more concerned with their status than the students. Dress coding girls wearing tank tops but they allow tennis uniforms to be as short as they are? Students high on drugs, vaping, dipping. When students voice their opinion, they get swarmed by Dr.Clark asking, "Why, why?" WAKE UP LEE HIGH. Your students hate this school for good reason. Fix it.

This school offers many electives including many dual credit college courses like Electricity, Anatomy and Physiology, Accounting and computer courses. The bad side is that certain teachers of classes such as Geometry and English are not doing a good job of keeping kids attention or of explaining problems. The school keeps their doors locked, which could create problems in my opinion because kids would not have anywhere to run if a student were to bring a weapon in. The teachers in electives are excellent. The food served is non-organic and mostly comes prepackaged. They do have a salad bar. However, the school principle claims there is a nutritional group that meets regularly yet fails to announce or invite concerned parents. They refuse to look into healthy vending machines and they won't ban soda machines, which directly alter minds. The advanced PE class for boys coach does not take them to the weight room like he should be. All in all, the school is a 5-6 on a scale of 10.

Both of my children have excelled academically and socially at LHS. The changes made by the new principal last year are definitely for the best. I would recommend LHS to anyone who has a child that wants to learn!

As a student at Lee High, I see most everything that goes on around school. It's not a bad school, but classes that have an SOL are the bad thing about it. Not that I don't want to take SOLs, but telling teachers exactly what they must teach takes away from the learning experience, at least it's like that in my experience. There isn't a huge amount of bullying, but it exists, like any other school. The majority of teachers here are great and very dedicated to their students. Especially a certain 10th grade Honors English teacher that also teaches 11th.
