When an independent school can survive for this long, you know they are doing something right. The teachers at Ashley are kind but firm. They address problems quickly. Families are well informed of their children's progress and good behaviors are constantly rewarded. They offer quite a few extra-curricular activities that are hands-on and aim to promote good habits. Very glad that we have a great option for our kid's education!

Excellent school that promotes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and excellence. We have been very impressed with the school, its teachers, and its leadership. They provide wonderful experiences that are not typically found in a public setting.

This school creates an environment which fosters academic, social and emotional success. Ashley fosters the school connectedness to ensure each student has a positive academic and behavioral outcome. I have had the opportunity to observe kindergarten and 1st grade classes on several occasions. The teachers promote creative activities which enhance the engagement of each student and to challenge these little brilliant minds. Last year, “Titanic Week” was introduced. Not only was the history of this majestic ship reviewed, but every aspect of academics was included; Math, English, Geography, to dinner etiquette and water safety was cleverly taught. A “formal” meal was prepared and “served”. Last week was “Space camp”. A field trip was taken to a local Conservatorium. Telescopes, and actual face time interaction with a NASA professional, were just a few of the highlights. I can not say enough about this amazing school, educators and staff. What a phenomenal learning environment!

What can I say about Ashley?! It’s the most wonderful school with which I have ever been involved. The teachers are allowed to teach creatively and engage students in innovative ways. Learning takes place through hands-on, immersive activities, STEM projects, and more. There is a very collaborative and family feel to this school. Relatively small class sizes allow the students and teachers to work together very effectively. The new facility is state-of-the-art and beautiful.

I love this school for my first grader. I can’t say enough good things about the culture, the teachers and the environment! They live the children and it shows everyday in everything they do.

I did not think the headmaster was professional. During my visit, she had an immature attitude towards others.

Very positive. Our sones, one with ADHD and one very academically gifted, both thrive there. They are challenged for their levels and get to be creative, good people, too!

This is a great little school. The teachers and staff are all very supportive and encourage a love of learning. They provide individualized attention that wouldn't be available in the public schools. The older children learn to help the younger ones and the community is very supportive. You really couldn't expect more from a small school! They are great in every way.

I have 3 kids and my oldest is in his third year at Ashley Academy. Our family has had an incredibly positive experience. Not only are our children thriving in a safe, challenging but supportive environment, but the network of parents and teachers have created a real sense of community. Acquistion of the new facility addressess some major shortcomings and has energized the school with the excitement of possibilities. It appears the timing of my family's involvement allowed us to avoid the challenging times of the past, alluded to in older comments, and fortunately, we're engaged during a time of growth and vitality. This dramatic organizational change in such a short period is undoubtedly possible with the fantastic leadership of the headmaster and partnership with a committed board. In short, it's a great time to be part of the AA community!

Excellence is expected and achieved. We were looking for caring and devoted teachers and Head Master with a special ability to connect with students. It's tough raising kids, and the empathy and good direction we have received from Ashley teachers has been so helpful! Our first two children were able to excel in high school largely because of the strong academics and personalized teaching they received at Ashley. We were so proud when they were both honored as National Merit Scholars and were admitted to top national universities. The teachers at Ashley played a key role! Our youngest child is finishing up at Ashley and, like her siblings, will have a big Ashley "leg-up" when she starts high school. My wife and I agree that sending our children to Ashley was one of our best decisions.

Our granddaughter we are raising has been at Ashley Academy for 2 years, for Pre-K an Kindergarten. I don't think that there is a finer school in the Tri-Cities area. The student/teacher ratio is wonderful and the teachers and staff fully interact with students and their families. I would highly recommend this school to anyone in the area. They are especially kind and attentive to students that my have a more difficult time in a public school setting.

The director,faculty, and staff at Ashley Academy create an atmosphere where best practices in education occur daily. The students are the priority and their learning styles, personalities, personal needs, talents, strengths and weaknesses are taken into account as they learn. The small class sizes; hard-working, caring teachers; and the freedom for students to think and learn outside the box makes this school an outstanding example of what an educational facility should be. My grandchildren love their school and enjoy learning, and have developed compassion and social skills in the process. I wholly endorse this school.

My son has been at Ashley for 10 years. He started in Pre-School. The small class sizes are wonderful. The teachers are able to know each child's strengthens and weaknesses. They are able to focus on what is best for your child. The whole school is like family. I can't imagine my son being anywhere else. He will be moving on to high school soon and he has the foundation he needs to succeed.

It has been a great experience for our children and the class sizes and attention they receive from staff is exactly what we were hoping for. Administration seems to be very proactive in continuous improvement as well.

No school is perfect, but Ashley Academy has been perfect for our child. The faculty take the time to know each child, designing academic plans that challenge the student, encourage them to advance at their pace, while also not letting areas of growth go unattended. The teachers integrate curriculum into real world experiences, bringing the coursework to life. The faculty and administration see the potential in our child and have inspired him to become who they see him to be. We are grateful for how Ashley Academy has partnered with us to prepare our child with a solid foundation for high school. He transitioned into HS academically advanced and prepared for the rigors of Honors curriculum.

My grandson attends Ashley Academy. His outlook towards school has greatly improved. He still requires prodding in some areas, but his teacher recognizes his learning needs and encourages him in these areas.

Our son attended Ashley for 3 years before going on to high school. We started at Ashley Academy a year after moving to town and after a frustrating year in the local public school system that could not accommodate a student that was educationally advanced from their peers. For his entire 5th grade year he had to repeat Math and Science material that he had previously mastered at an out of state school. The teachers and administration at Ashley worked with our family to develop and individualized learning plan that challenged him and allowed him to progress at his own rate. By the time he graduated from 8th grade, he was again advanced and able to take higher level courses in high school. That was our positive academic experience, in addition to that, he was presented with countless other unique educational experiences as well that will give him positive memories for life. Our kid wasn’t perfect by any means, and I’ll say that one of the most impressive aspects of the school was how they helped him work through his mistakes and weaknesses. When he messed up, he wasn’t blindly punished, but instead was allowed to take responsibility, make amends and move on. Highly recommend this school.
