This school has no curriculum and does not care about the kids or the parents. BEWARE: Take your kids education seriously! Please do your research!! Teachers need far more training and the staff needs to change. They are bullies and do not care.

I have been affiliated with multiple lighthouse christian school campuses. At each campus, I have witnessed teachers providing students with a very poor education. I haven't witnessed any child being challenged academically. The staff are very nice, but seem to lack much educational background or experience in providing quality education. Many teachers give worksheets which are usually based on the students assessments, but very few if any lessons are actually taught, so therefore the students remain stagnant. The school identifies itself as a school for special education, I have an extensive background in special education and from what I have witnessed this school system, just doesn't seem to educate or provide services that are effective with this population. I would say that both teachers and staff need far more training.

This school does not put up with anything from the students. When the kids try to get away with stuff the teachers keep them on track, I've seen parents get mad because their child can't get their way. If the parents listen to the school, the kids will do great. It's not always easy, but the school makes a place that kids can learn the way they learn not how everyone else learn

My daughter went to this school for sixth grade, and several month in her seventh grade year. The first year starting off it seemed all was fine. They were providing her with the education any parent would expect. Several, months into school I noticed my daughter becoming a stranger to me. She would tell me everyday at pick up that she was not happy at the school. I tried give it some time, and talk to your teachers about anything going on that is happening in the school. Finally, I decided that it was time for me to see what was going on. I have always been a parent who is very involved in my children's education. Its up to us to see they are getting the education needed to be a success. I began bringing my daughter lunch and observing the classmates, teachers, directors, and surroundings. I was shocked! The lack of respect shown to these kids by the staff was something I have never seen. The goal was simple for this school. Get through the day. Education was not a priority! No Respect in the school. Teachers handled the kids by mostly raising their voice to them. My daughter was pulled Mid Nov. after many meetings, and getting no where. NEVER would RECOMMEND to anyone!
