Showed obvious signs of neglect while attending this school when I was younger. School never ever even asked about home life, took me to the councilor or reported it. Had a teacher in 2nd grade that was extremely rude to kids, and after that year wouldn’t even look at me. Also in 2nd grade, a boy in my class would hit on himself when stressed/ got things wrong, sometimes extremely hard and teachers would say “don’t do that” before going back to whatever they were doing. Once i ended up dislocating my knee during a P.E. Activity. Got to sit in a chair for about 5-10 minutes before being forced back into P.E., despite still being in pain. My guardian didn’t even get a text about the inquiry… Hopefully this school has changed since then, but for now I still wouldn’t put my trust in it.

We have been part of the CPE school since my son was 3 in the PK class for kids with disabilities. He is now 8 and in 2nd grade, my daughter just started Kindergarten this school year and loves it just as much as my son does! The Staff, Teachers, Principal and Vice Principal are all extremely nice and you can see how much they care for all the students. In the last few years, they have really shown that they are doing more and more to get the kids invovled in different activities and excited about learning.

I don't know what is going on this year but my daughter is not doing well at school. The teacher doesn't communicate. The math tutoring teacher explained that tutoring would not help my daughter. Sending a lot of homework without instructions.

This is a fantastic elementary school. In the post Covid era of teacher turn over and burnt out staff, this public school is a beacon of hope! So many of the “new” charter schools can’t hold a candle to this established staff and location. There is a diverse population, lots of ESL support, gifted learning opportunities, and leadership programs for the students.

My first and fourth graders attend Crown Point, and they are both thriving academically. This school has amazing and invested faculty that has been a part of the school for years. The admin and the staff really care and are understanding of all people. There is a legacy surrounding CPE's PTA that is unmatched, and I am telling you, they deserve a higher score for accuracies sake alone!

I went to this school from Kindergarten to 5th grade, I had an amazing experience. It really felt like the teachers cared about the students and how they were doing. I would definitely recommend this school!

I am very happy with all team from management to teachers. From the office to class rooms. And happy with drop off and pick up process. The safety is great approach.

Crown Point is such a warm and friendly school. It was our home away from home for our daughter. The teachers work so hard and go above and beyond for our children. My daughter attended for all of her elementary years. Now in high school, she still wants to visit her former teachers. She says that those were the best days of school. She truly felt love. She received an excellent education and continues to excel because of her beginnings in education at Crown Point. We will forever be thankful for the teachers and staff.

The teachers and staff are warm and accepting. That is probably why you see smiling faces on the children daily. The teachers are dedicated to teaching the whole child. Each teacher embraces the differences of his or her classroom. One thing that I notice as I walk through the halls is how happy the teachers are and how willing they are to open their arms to receive big hugs from their students. Academics are very important, but when my child is away from me for 7 hours a day, I trust that the teachers and staff of Crown Point will keep my child safe and give her the TLC that children need.

Crown Point is by far the best school in the area. The teachers and staff are always so positive and helpful. They create such a warm and inviting environment and really challenge my son so he excels. I always get tons of communication about how he is doing, what is going on in the classroom as well as all of the events the school holds. I couldn't imagine my child going anywhere else.

Crown point is a diverse school with a family-like atmosphere. Despite being zoned for Loretto, I have had all six of my children here through special assignment.

Crown Point is an amazing school! With dedicated teachers, staff, and PTA, my child had such a positive experience there. His teachers were very caring and supportive when we moved to Jacksonville mid year. His experience there set him up to be ready for middle school. Thank you CPE!

My daughter started Crown Point Elementary in the 2nd grade. She loved her teacher and she had many friends. Unfortunately, because we moved a few miles away she was zoned for another school. She attended this new school her 3rd grade year. As summer was ending I gave her the option of continuing on at this new school or going back to Crown Point. She without hesitation chose Crown Point. The whole staff is friendly and upon returning to Crown Point they actually remembered her name!! She loves how the teachers make her feel comfortable about not knowing an answer in front of the class, she is a shy child. The homework is actually doable for a full time working mom to go over and check. It's quality not quantity! Crown Point Elementary is the best elementary school in Duval County.

Crown Point is a wonderful school!! My husband and I have have been very pleased and impressed and have had a wonderful experience. Our son started kindergarten there in August 2013 and absolutely loves his teacher and his classmates. He is in a class of 18 and his classmates are a wonderful group of kids. Our son loves going to school everyday and has learned so much. Miss Toker is absolutely amazing!! We love Crown Point and can't wait to come back next year!!

I would like to recognize Mrs.Hickox, Mrs. Eyler, and Mrs. Wyzan. My kids loved them. Because of them, my kids loved going to school! Crown Point Elementary is awesomel. It is very easy for parents to get involved and I have had no issues with concerns and communication.

Mrs. Owens-Thompson is doing a great job at Crown Point. Through her efficient, caring and professional ways we are back to an "A" school. I look forward to another successful year with all our teachers, principal and staff. Crown Point is the place to be.

I see all the reviews and it was what I had hoped for when my son started school in 2010. What I found out in the last two years is there is little to no comunication from teacher, guidance counselors and principal, even after contacting the school board. As an involved parent when asking about working with my child at home, I am told to only read to him and not to work with math, this makes it hard on a parent when this is what your child excales at and comes home with the need to learn more math! This school IS NOT PARTICIPATING SUNSHINE MATH for any chid and there AR ( Accelerated Reader) is no where to be found this year. If your child is above average in most areas and is lacking in another Good luck getting help! Not to mention the lack of discipline (that I have seen first hand) in the classrooms. I will be moving from this area just to get my son to a school that shows some Intrest in the children's needs and not a one sizes fits all. My family is extremely unhappy with this school.
