The teachers at Good Elementary are dedicated and work very hard to provide a top notch educational experience for each student. Teachers continuously look at data which allows them to deliver individualized learning opportunities. Students at Good received a well rounded education. Character education, physical education, music and visual art are an integral part of every day learning which compliment and enhance the academics.

The students are wonderful at John R. Good and are very eager to learn! Teachers and staff are committed to doing what's best for the students and teaching in many different ways to ensure that students learn. Teachers are involved in professional learning communities, book studies and participate in professional development so that they can grow and be the best they can for the kids! We are so lucky to have the support of an incredible community partner-NCH Corporation.

John R. Good is so different from other schools. This school is welcoming, treats you as if you're family, and the teachers really love and care for their students. Here your students will not only get an excellent education, but they will also learn skills to help them become great citizens, have wonderful character, and learn how to treat others will kindness and respect. I love JRG!

PRO: The faculty and staff are able to make incredible transformations in students' learning and lives by their positive relationships and best instructional practices. Just this week I heard a from student who had attended Good and then moved to another school: "I wanted to come to this [weekend event at Good] because I really miss it here. (Why?) I miss the people, and it's more fun." CON: To have students scoring in the lowest range on assessments grouped into one class seems to stifle learning due to disruptive behaviors. If all or most classes strategically grouped students with a variety of ability levels, the model students could teach the lower ones problem solving strategies, socializing, and reading / other academic skills.

John R. Good staff is always ready to take on each day with their best efforts. We recognize the unique demographics we have, and strive our best to meet each students' needs. We stay long un-paid hours to get meaningful lessons ready to teach our little ones. It's a friendly environment where we do our best for our kids.

My child experiences the greatest special education teacher we have encountered while attending John R. Good Elementary. The staff's dedication to making my child feel welcome and a part of JRG family was greatly appreciated and not duplicated anywhere else. Great job JRG!
