    As a guest teacher, I am in many schools. College Park Elementary is my favorite! The camaraderie is so special. Everyone, staff and students are always welcoming.

    We were at College Park for kindergarten and my kiddo LOVED it. Her class had incredible diversity which I think is so important for kids to experience from a young age. Their teacher was amazing. I watched her on zoom days a few times and she made all the kids feel so special. She communicated regularly with parents and it was always nice to get updates. Academically my student did fine and it seemed that they were able to support a variety of learners at different places. We moved out of state for work but we would have continued in Pike had we stayed in Indiana. Last year was a challenging year for the district with labor shortages, issues with the superintendent, etc. Through these difficulties we were able to see the tenacity of everyone supporting our kids from the bus drivers to their teachers to the parents who showed up at school board meetings and sent notes to the rest of us. I think Pike came out of last year strong and capable and we're excited to see where they go from here.
