A great school that provides a good education, a safe environment and allows kids to be kids while teaching values. If you want a nurturing environment in a great community I would highly recommend taking a look at St Luke whether you or Catholic or not.

I highly recommend Saint Luke School.The students and teachers at Saint Luke quickly adopted my son as one of their own, and care for him the same way. They are accepting of and patient with his "glitches" - some stammering and the occasional stress-induced meltdown. They love him through, and their empathy is amazing. Likewise, the see and appreciate his "shinings" - smart, kind, funny, fair, artistic, musical.The educational standards are very high, and students are expected to meet them. Teachers and staff go above and beyond to support "our" kids in any way they can. This is true across the board, up to and including the Principal, Elizabeth Kissel. I highly recommend Saint Luke School.

My children have attended St. Luke Catholic School for a combined total of fifteen years. Our daughter attends a local private high school and is absolutely thriving. I am shocked by the review and examples that are provided July 2018 as this is not our experience AT ALL, rather our experience has been aligned with all the other reviews here other than the one from last summer. It is almost as if they are speaking of a different school. Our children, both with different learning styles, have been loved, cared for, encouraged and respected and there has always been a strong partnership with their teachers, administration and us as parents to help them achieve their fullest potential. The only thing that I can say rings true is that there IS new administration, they ARE striving to modernize the school and ARE being successful. We received an A and 4 star rating this year. We are members of St. Luke Catholic Church as well and the ability to see our children's faith grow as part of their education and to have the tight connection with our school and parish means the world to us.

I would not recommend this school since their academic standards are not nearly as rigorous as those of surrounding private schools (i.e. no foreign language offered until 7th grade, ISTEP scores declining over the last few years, etc.) and the environment is fostered by the mentality that children should sit quietly in their desks, the parents are solely responsible rather than working as a team with the teacher, and the old administrators and teachers (that were in place prior to the new principal) all stand guard together against any criticism rather than seeing it as an opportunity for positive change and growth.

In addition to the strong academics at St. Luke, we most encouraged by the emphasis placed on Catholic identity and faith formation.

We've had great experiences at Saint Luke Catholic School. The faith formation is excellent, the academics strong and the sense of community in the parish is wonderful. The faculty is focused on all aspects of your child's growth; intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual. Two of our four children have moved on from Saint Luke very well prepared for high school.

St. Luke has awesome teachers, great classes, and wonderful and kind students. They have very high test scores and is a wonderful school K-8. I would highly recommend this school to any children with high scores, average scores, and low scores. It even includes every student with any kind of disability. Its a great school with challenging obstacles and wonderful teachings.
