I've had three children attend I.E.S. It was good until the new principal, whatever her name is, showed up on the scene. Who in their right mind thinks that it's a good idea to do away with homework? Supposedly it's "too stressful for the children to learn!" I have a daughter who was being bullied at that school, when she tried to get help from teachers and staff, she was told to handle it herself!!! She was in the 1st grade being told by adults to handle the bullies herself! So, she hit one of the girls. My daughter got suspended for it, nothing happened to the other girl. My other daughter went into Middle School, without experience in doing homework, which made it harder for her

This school is a treasure. The staff are deeply dedicated to the quality of the children's experience here. Many parents are involved in contributing to class enrichment. All children are held accountable, so behavioral issues here are very minor. This is such a pleasant place to visit because everyone is happy learning! The school is small enough so everyone gets the attention they need. Student teachers from WOU are absolutely outstanding. I can't say enough good things about my children's education here - they love going to school, they come home inspired as well as tired, and real relationships exist here between kids, educators, and the community.
