W.A. Porter is the best we could hope for. It is such a strong knit community. The teachers and staff are very involved, welcoming, inclusive and treat parents and students with respect. It’s clear they CARE about their students.

We absolutely love Porter. This is our 4th year and I can’t say enough good things about this school. Every staff member, including teachers, custodians, and office personnel truly care about the students. The school feels like an extension of our family, and I am truly excited to send my 2nd child there this year for kindergarten.

Our children attended WA Porter through BISD Open Enrollment. I cannot say enough about how special this school is to our family. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to meet the needs of the students. My daughter has a learning disability and the extra time that has been spent on her has made a huge impact on her ability to learn and her self esteem. We are definitely a proud Porter Panther family

Both of my children went to Porter from kindergarten all the way through 5th grade and loved every minute of it. One is a boy and the other is a girl and they were both very prepared for middle school!

This school is a community- the Teachers and Admin go above and beyond to make the school inviting and safe. We have had kids been at Porter for 8 years, and we have 5 more- there is no place I’d rather my kids be.

We expected the best with W A Porter but we were severely let down by the staff.

This is our 4th year at this school and absolutely LOVE it! Administrative staff and teachers are so caring and supportive, fun but stick to the rules. Amazing how the principals know each kid's name by heart! So grateful for all! Moved to the area just so my boy attends this school, feeder schools/Birdville district.

All three of our children attended W.A. Porter Elementary and loved their time at this school. The teachers are nurturing and kind, yet they are firm with the rules and what needs to be taught for them to be ready for middle school and beyond. I would give this school a 10/10. I would send my grandchildren here if given the chance. Such a great school and wonderful experience.

My daughter started kindergarten here and a few years later we moved to Colleyville. We loved the school, staff, kids & parents so much we didn't want to leave! ...So we stayed! This might be a shocker to all the "Colleyville Pride" people out there, but WA Porter Elementary ranks higher than other CGISD schools. We don't know what the future holds for middle school, but we will definitely be staying here until 5th grade graduation! Thank you to everyone who makes Porter so amazing!

W.A. Porter is filled with great teachers, administration, and kids. I went there when I was a kid and have student taught there as well. This place is extremely welcoming and everyone who walks into the building truly cares about the learning going on around them.

W. A. Porter is an amazing school. Mr. Bicknell is a fantastic principal. My daughters are in second and fourth grade, and have had the most amazing teachers every year. I am so glad I decided to send my girls to this school.

I have 3 children currently attending this school. We moved here from out of state and were planning on buying in a different area but ended up at Porter. It was the best thing that could have happened to us. Our kids are thriving because of the excellent administration, teachers and parents at this school. I look forward to the future both at Porter and in Birdville ISD because it seems like a district that has their priorities right and will continue to grow in the right direction.
