This is my son's 1st year at RPE and he enjoys it. He attended skate night and it was a great turn out the teachers, principal and assistant principal were there, and very engaged with the students and parents. I did have an incident with my son being left behind the 2nd week of school but it was the daycare van that left him when he went to the restroom. The staff reacted quickly and I was contacted the next day by the principal regarding the matter because I had several questions. The staff was comforting and assured me several times it was an isolated incident and they are more vigilant. I know things happen, and I am just happy that the staff was comforting to me and ensured my son safety. He will be enrolled for years to come. -kindergarten parent

Great school. My daughter is doing great and learning so much. I do not like the extra things like all the selling but teach is great. Different but effective.

Riverpines Elementary. I can not begin to tell you the nightmare I have experienced this school year for my child. Bullying, kids making fun of him because he struggles in some areas and teachers not doing anything much, but once the child acts out, he is immediately sent to the principal's office. My child's self esteem has plummeted. This school is so lacking in spirit, boring, very hard to be involved as a parent, you go to volunteer for something and are told, we have enough parents or either parents are not invited, etc., I really had high hopes for the school, but there is lack of leadership here, lack of organization and respect for parents. I am withdrawing my child and hope that others do not have to experience what I have had to and find an alternative schooling for their child.

generally my kids and i have liked this school. the teachers have been pretty awesome. i did have a few issues with our 4th grade teacher but all ended well. having more fun activities would be nice but i feel that the teachers care about the kids and i'm happy with that. the principal on the other hand is no where to be found during events or issues. need to replace her!
