We came from McKinney and the schools were packed and teachers irritable. My son has dealt with bullying a lot. We've been here for two years and my son went to 5th grade intermediate here in howe that's attached to the middle school and now he's in 6th grade. What a change! Teachers are genuinely caring and go above to touch base and provided a ton of homework packets they put together just for my son when we had covid. They even added notes and examples so he wouldn't get behind. The kids are nicer and my son doesn't get bullied anymore, classrooms are smaller so my son gets more teacher attention.

We came from a very large, highly rated school district. While the building at HMS could use some updated, the building certainly doesn’t make a school. In fact, my son struggled to keep up the first semester. Howe ISD is academically ahead of the game! My son has learned valuable study habits that will stick with him the rest of his life. I am so grateful to this school district, the leadership, teachers and staff.

Has and always will be a great school. Teachers are involved with the students. Both my children and myself have proudly walked the halls of all 3 Howe education facilities. I understand the issues posted here, but those are at every school across the nation. If you want your child to have a top education Howe is the school for you.

Protection of middle school children is the biggest down fall. They have posted against bullies, but the school doesn't believe what the victim tells them. When a child is brought in more than one time, for the same issue, the child remains in school even after 3 complaints of bullying. Why! There is no qualified teachers for 504 student issues.
