I’m a former teacher at STM, and while STM teachers are amazing human beings who are devoted and dedicated to their craft of teachers and nurturing every student, the current principal is at war with teachers, some of whom have been at the school for over 10 years. Teacher pay is pitiful and well below average teacher salary. Additionally, teacher morale is depressingly low because they are treated with contempt and know-nothings. If you are looking for a truly GREAT Catholic school, try St. Vincent de Paul.

My kids love the school! They have been there since preschool and always wake up looking forward to go to school. Staff and faculty are very attentive to children and their teaching style is student-centered. My son is very shy and I’ve seen him grow exponentially out of his shell. He is very confident and loves the challenge. Teacher are very communicative and vested in student’s growth.

We have been very impressed with St. Thomas More and highly recommend it to anyone considering attending. It's such a sweet, loving school with excellent teachers and staff. The principal is excellent with great communication, especially important during the COVID year. The curriculum is impressive and challenging. My son is really excelled this year and improved academically since the beginning of the year. I just can't say enough good things.

The diversity that St. Thomas has is just great. It makes you feel like your part of the community. The teachers here re very warm and friendly. They do their best to keep the parents informed and in the loop.

Both of my boys have bee involved in sports here and I think that, in addition to the academics, has helped them grow and learn a lot. The teachers and coaches are supportive and I keep in contact with all of them. It's a school that has a lot to offer.

I continue to be impressed by St. Thomas More. The smart boards in the classrooms are very neat and I think it's good that they have a computer in each room too. So the technology is all up to par. The library available to the students is very nice and I just love the displays of art work!! So cute.

My education at St Thomas More Academy provided me not merely with a wealth of crucial knowledge, but also the skills to think deeply and critically about everything I encounter in life and the world. As a student currently pursuing a masters degree and preparing to enter the professional world, I feel exceptionally well-equipped by my experience at STM.

Awful school ! Rude teachers, staff and student body. The survivors must be some true saints. Horrible, that the parents can not have lunch at least once a week or even a month with the student in middle school or even any grade. Because that is when they have the children eat in silence rather than speak to their friends. And oh my. Their God must be praised FIVE times a day on the floor on their knees! While the teacher sits at his or her desk.

I am so glad to hear that St. Thomas More's principal is retiring. Hopefully the school can run like it should. Also it would be great if the staff would stop candy coating this awful school. Just good until the 4th grade.

St. Thomas More is a great school with a sense of family and community that runs with abundance. The principal, who is retiring, brought STM's academic and religious aptitude forward. No school is perfect and you can find fault with any or all but STM's top priority is providing excellence in education and producing children who are fully prepared to continue a higher education at a college preparatory high school. I will miss the sense of family and community that STM is all about when my child graduates. Go Tigers!

Texas based on statistics is the worst state for primary education. Indicating that students go to one of the top schools in Houston after leaving St. Thomas More is that person's opinion. I see parents paying an outrageous amount of tuition, and are basically teaching the kids themselves. They accept it under the believe that this is how it is suppose to be because they trust what they are being told due to not knowing any better.

St. Thomas More School is one of the top Catholic elementary schools in Houston. However it is not for everyone. It is for those willing to give up free-time for homework and studying. The school is challenging. My three boys attended STM and went on to some of the top high schools in Houston. My boys learned time manage and organization. They were prepared to handle the transition from Jr. high to high school. Thank you STM!

The principal is entirely focused on the students well being. She tries to bring the outside world and academic world together to best teach the students and her vision is very positive. All of the teachers feel this way. If you are looking for a school that has genuine care towards your children and the desire to see them succeed then St. Thomas More is your best choice.

What I love about St. Thomas More is that the school is very conscious of keeping in touch with parents. They will send notes home with the kids and return your calls. Plus they are very fail with all of the children as far as any discipline goes. They teach good values.

My children like it here, as do I. From a parents perspective, I enjoy that the teachers a very attentive to answering questions and concerns. I send quite a few emails and I always get a clear quick response! Also, I think it's great that they are keeping up with teaching the children about modern technology so that they are proficient by the time they reach middle school.

As a parent, I really appreciate St. Thomas More Parish's attentive and caring staff. Whenever I contact them they're always available and understanding of any concerns my son or I have. I am a room parent and can tell firsthand just how much these kids love the family environment St. Thomas More creates.
