The administration told me to take my kids somewhere else when I tried to complain about HER yelling at my kids. I did take them somewhere else.

J R Harris hit a major bump in the road the 2012-13 school year. A change in administration to meet the Super's new ajenda has resulted in a dramatic lowering of test scores and a loss of many top teachers. Any time a 40+% loss of staff is not a positive vote of confidence. This was a great small school that nurtured the children and had a strong test averages for a Title 1 school. How much longer are the children to suffer to make the Superintendent happy? Have removed my children and enrolled them in our local KIPP. Best of luck to those children left behind .

This school has turned into a factory geared towards teaching the test. I have watched as my child entered this school in PRE-K and is now ready to start the fourth. The new principal has cut programs, created an environment where the children are expected to be robots, and the teachers are harassed to follow the principal's narrow vision. Parents are barred from the school, and getting an appointment with teachers is impossible without going through the loops demanded by the administrators. I have decided to withdraw my child and enroll them in KIPP due the the stiffling learning environment prevalent here.
