To say that RES has been God-sent would be an understatement. My child has extreme behavioral issues. We were at a different school for the start of Kindergarten, but it 1 month, he had been suspended 2x!! That school was doing NOTHING to help me help my child. So, we packed up and moved to a different district. The day I turned in the enrollment papers was a Friday, but the principal still took the time to call me (since I requested a chat with her before my son was placed with a teacher) AFTER school had let out, which was her off-time. Dr. Turney (the principal) listened without judgement, was completely understanding, and then told me about all the rights I had as a parent of a child with special-needs. She took the weekend to think about where to place my son, and then called me on Monday to tell me who his teacher would be. Ms. Dean (my son's new kindergarten teacher) has been the most wonderful teacher for my son. After a couple of weeks, my son started getting excited for school and telling me how much he loves his new school and his teacher! He never got suspended for the remainder of the school year and he met all of his benchmarks way b4 the end of the year. I love RES!

Wonderful school. My son is in 2nd grade and all his teachers were awesome, The teachers and staff are very responsive to the students and family concerns. My kids enjoy going to school. The principal and Assistant Principal are also very nice.

I am pleased with Riverchase Elementary. As a parent of a first and fourth grader, I feel that they are challenged yet enjoy school. We relocated from a different state and I've been very happy with the Hoover School System. The parent involvement is so abundant that I'm usually on a waiting list for class activities or to help with field trips. I appreciate the level of parent and teacher interaction with the weekly newsletter directly from my child's teacher. RES is a great school.

The front office and leadership team of Riverchase Elementary need a lesson in customer service as well as compassion. This school lacks the warm fuzzy feeling a quality elementary school should have. The standards for each grade seem low compared to other elementary schools across the country even though they meet or exceed Alabama standards.

Very happy we decided to start our son at Riverchase. This was our first experience in the public school system and I'm more than pleased. Great principal and asst. principal. On many occasions when I volunteered in my sons class they were also involved in the activities. I loved that my son has so many adults that care about his education and his well being. This school exceeded my expectations.

I'm prejudiced - I work here! The faculty is very student oriented, high quality and a great community in and of itself. The students are great and never cease to amaze! The parents here are our best assets and advocates. AND it's beautiful! I believe this is one of the best possible schools around!
