Our experience with Holly Ele has been a great one. The Principal, Mrs. Turner is awesome and greets the kids by name as they enter the school each morning. My child can be on the busier side and the teachers have always found ways to teach in a way he can learn and that keeps him engaged.

Outstanding! I love Holly El, the staff and teachers are all wonderful and they truly care, from the school leaders to the wonderful janitors. Latchkey workers are also spot on. You get an extended family for your child here, they love the kids and only want to see them succeed. I don't feel the rating this page has for this school is right at all, it is NOT a below average school at all. Take a tour, talk to the staff and teachers. Look at the pride the kids have in their school, you see it painted and decorated all over the place, the kids love it here.

I have three children that have gone to this school. Current I still have one going to this school. I have moved away from the Village of Holly but still have chosen the school of choice so my son can continue to go to this school. The whole staff from Principal, teachers, lunch lady etc...... are so nice. I just really could go on and on about how much I like this school. I would highly recommend it.

My child did pre-k here. The school is old and needs updates, some class rooms smell of vomit All the time. The staff is semi friendly but seem to have no control over students, they run through the halls with no regard for good citizenship. The parking lot is also a complete nightmare. It is so small and in the winter they do not even ensure the handicap spaces are clear for parking, it gets full of snow banks. Very low quality education with no character building.

My kids teachers are wonderful, the staff is very kind and friendly. However this was not our school of choice- but we settled with holly elementary because they offer bussing. Unfortunately once school began I found out my children do NOT qualify for bussing because we live within a mile of school. I am so disappointed that I even bought a house in holly without knowing this information. My husband and I have 4 kids and we both work- bussing is the most convienient things for our family. I have never heard of this rule- hence I would have researched it a bit more. Now I had to rearrange my work schedule, rush my kids to and from school, and not to mention park in their lot which NEVER has open spots- so even I I arrive 1/2 hour early to get one- everyone parks along the curb and block you in and you can't leave!! All around- these are reasons my children will not attend holly elementary next year. I don't understand why bussing isn't available to all children.
