Our family moved away from Florida two years ago and we miss many of the wonderful faculty and staff at The Pine School. You will not find a more committed and passionate group of professionals in Martin County to educate your child. There are true superstars on the faculty and a strong sense of adventure. Anything is truly possible at TPS. Don't pass it by if you are looking for a small school with excellent academics, particularly college placement. They have delivered greatly on the dream of an outstanding high school. Despite some growing pains and financial challenges, The Pine School is an exceptional educational opportunity for people in that part of the world. The Lower School faculty are really the gems of the school.

Please see Stuart News post from last June that describes the financial conditions of this school, as noted by many in the community and in several newspapers they had to surrender the property and now only lease it..

Pre- K thru 11th, we have seen and heard a lot. After reading reviews below, felt compelled to comment. It is small, it is a community, you get out of it what you put into it. It is a private school without outside funding,-typical of private independent schools and colleges. Hence, annual fund and capital campaigns are a part of the program. Turn over hasn't really affected the school. As far as teacher turnover- the good ones are still here. Comments about 8th grade retention- I have observed that those that leave want a bigger high school experience, football and more socially, or financial reasons. We have found smaller classes, caring teachers, a phenomenal college counselor, higher test scores, safe environment worth every penny. Comment about kids involved with drugs/alcohol- a very small percentage no longer allowed at the school-zero tolerance. Welcome to the real world in which we live if one thinks it does not exist and some kids will not make wrong choices. The Pine School has been an excellent experience and perfect for our child. Know what a private independent school is and has to offer, and you will probably have the same experience as we have.

I am a parent of 4 young children at the Pine School (almost one percent of the student body!). Although there are better schools elsewhere, Pine is clearly the best school in the area. The negative reviews here focus on small size, lack of diversity, and financial issues. These issues arise because the school is located in Martin county, which has a small population, is not very diverse, and is economically challenged at the moment. Given the limited population of parents with enough money to pay for private school tuition, the school does an outstanding job.

As an alum of TPS in the 90s, I had the recent privilege of experiencing the exciting changes that have developed on both beautiful campuses since my time as a student there including the addition of grades 9-12 and the Hobe Sound campus. I can safely say that many of my academic and social experiences at this school adequately prepared me for college, grad school, and the real world. In fact, I still regularly keep in contact with many of my TPS friends despite marriages, babies, jobs, and distance. It was surprising, yet also comforting to see so many of the best teachers I had still working there and loving what they do. During my recent time on campus, I witnessed exactly what my parents saw many years ago when they decided to enroll me and my siblings there: small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and confident, multifaceted students who are granted more meaningful experiences than I ever was at my larger high school. How I wish TPS had a high school when I was a kid! I only hope that someday my future kids will get an educational experience like that.

The Pine School is an average private school with above average tuition. Our children attended the lower school for 3 years and after the resignation of the Head Master and high teacher turn-over, we opted for the public school system. If you're interested in extremely small class sizes, limited diversity, and inconsistent academic excellence, then this school is for you.

Having recently moved to the Hobe Sound area, we toured the Hobe sound campus. The small class size and the modern campus was greatly appealing. However, after a Google search, we were not as equally impressed; the school is facing both financial and personnel issues. The tour lacked this critical transparency and thus we continue our reach for a well endowed school that is not involved in legal issues. Probably hard to find in Florida.

Parent review on August 12 is not targeted for the whole school but only for the 8th grade, so it should be higher. The focus of that review is very narrow and the person reviewed it as such. You are asked to rate the school, not the grade in the school

The Pine School is a place where all students can succeed. The staff, administrators, and faculty are a cohesive family. They offer a challenging curriculum for all grades. We are a very happy family who knows they made the right decision. Come by and take a tour...I'm sure you'll agree!

Phenomenal School!! Our son has thrived in an environment that offers challenging academics, leadership opportunities, character development, athletics, the arts, and community involvement in a wonderfully nurturing environment. Teachers and administrators alike take time to understand each and every child. They encourage students to cultivate their many talents, as well as to promote each one's full potential. The sky is the limit at The Pine School. Standardized test scores are significantly higher than national and neighboring schools. Check out the web site for last year's statistics and see for yourself. For my family, it is worth every penny to have The Pine School assist us in building our young man into a visionary and confident leader who will undoubtedly make a positive impact not only at a renowned university, but in future business endeavors and community relationships. Five stars all the way!!

The Pine School has been a warm, loving home to my three children for few years now. I only have good things to say about the school, the level dedication the teaching staff demonstrate and the curriculum they offer. My children actually want to go to school and look forward to each day and come home with praise. My kids don't even realize how hard it is (shhhh don't tell) THAT'S A GREAT TEACHER!! They are committed to the success of each & every student. The word relentless comes to mind when I think of how often I see the staff go above and beyond, exceeding my already high expectations. My children went to the public schools...where I watched them practically disappear in the crowds of students in each classroom. I want the best I can for my children, who doesn't? If there were such thing as a super hero, they would be teaching at the Pine School. To those that said the staff come and go, I say; the ones that left simply could not keep up with the expectations of their peers & of what makes a good instructor. The term Knight, is indeed an appropriate mascot for this wonderful house of education where the organizations mantra exudes a level of diligence beyond measure.

Unfortunately, The Pine School is not worth the 12K- 20K tuition. The most recent head master, after only 3 short years, resigned and moved to another school. Many families are following his lead and have decided to send their children to the public school system. This is especially true when it comes to the middle school. Many 8th graders do not move onto the high school and opt for a public education. Teacher turn-over is significant. It is a small school and has a sense of community, but it lacks academic righttp://www.greatschools.org/#or and pales in comparison to other private schools in the area. Parent involvement is significant by only a select few. If one visits this school, ask important questions: 1. How many 8th graders move to another school after middle school graduation? 2. How many students have been suspended for drug/alcohol in middle/high school? 3. How does TPS compare in regards to test scores to other private schools?

WOW!!!! My daughter's first year at TPS and absolutely awesome. Creativity, music, excellent academics, staff, etc.Upper School campus is beautiful ! Open, warm, family feel! A school that lets children who wish to excel do so instead of keeping them all in the same box. Progressive and forward thinking atmosphere. COuld not be happier
