Both of my kids went K-12 at Herscher Schools! Great teachers!

dont wanna put anything very identifying but feels like both the staff and students both of present and past are sorta bias and have a similar disinterest/interest in being at this subpar school where the teachers arent like critically bad at least most of them like teaching but theyre not very effective or understanding and wouldnt say many really excel but again not the worse either and some are bias for and against students and its similar with students and both groups its like theyre sorta there and very disinterested in learning or teaching but not actively disrespectful and sped services for people that belong there are good but those who dont or any misunderstood kid even general ed has negative bias from nearly all who exit and enter the building, basically the major issue is all-around apathy from all human beings here and looking at things black/white and apparently although ive only been passively targeted ive heard some kids are actively targeted with searches and bullying stuff and its like they could be implementing so many other options to acftually solve the issue like detection devices for illicit smoking and stuff but would rather call the kids in for searches constantly which further reduces any time they could have learning in the mutual apathy dynamic i described above honestly the funding document is too long but idk where the heck the whole budget goes because even the places it goes to they seem to be in bad condition and doesnt seem to really be the fault of the teacher rather whatever lack of fudning theyre getting so yeah

I have 4 kids enrolled in the District. All teachers have reached out to me if there was a problem or were quick to respond if I had an issue. Many opportunities despite being a school with a small population compared to suburban schools.

The principal (gm) has a horrific reason for leaving his last school. The good teachers are leaving due to ill treatment by this arrogant living out of district money taker. Do not go here. Used to be the best in the county. Not so anymore
