- Submitted by parent on March 26, 2015I think Central High School is an excellent school. I feel their academics for exceed those in surrounding areas. The new principle actually cares about the students, their progress and success! Girls track and cross country, football, wrestling, and basketball all do pretty well. As with all the other Illinois schools they are struggling financially because of the state. I would definitely recommend this school.
- Submitted by parent on March 30, 2014Do not send your child here. Teachers only care about themselves. And don't even get me started on the careless bus drivers. I've never experienced a school like this in my life. Teachers that don't care about their students and bus drivers that drive like their in their own personal bus race, and will sit outside of houses of their own personal friends for ten or more minutes to wait for kids, but won't wait for some kids that are walking too slowly down a driveway. Playing a radio and not stopping at stop signs is too risky for my taste. If this school had more responsible people working here and not small town minded people that only look out for their own friends, this might not be so bad....but they don't, and it is bad!!!
