More teachers involved not only with students but with parents too. Not safe many fights students smoking in bathrooms. Other students can not go peacefully in to the bathroom. Teachers give time limits to use bathroom.

It's sad how this school and most schools in this district operate. No punishment for bad behavior except removing from the school with suspensions. Lack of communication with parents. Like a lot of schools in ca these days it's not about education it's about kids In seats so the administration can continue to collect there inflated checks. Currently the only thing keeping me from enrolling my children in a charter school is the extra curricular classes.

From the top of the administration to the students themselves. Lack of integrity and discipline. Students crossing where they should not causing near collisions and not one adult duty or supervisor out to protect them or the parent. Overhaul is needed

My daughter is the happiest she has ever been at any school. The teachers are very helpful. Mr. Weaver and Mrs.Giauque are her favorite.

I'm currently an 8th Grader at this school. I like it, they do try to stop bullying and most of the teachers teach well. Although, a lot of students don't care about their education which really brothers me, but there are students who do though like me. The staff is strict, but they are doing their job by keeping the school under control. I like the principal a lot he's funny, friendly, understanding, and easy to talk to. There's a lot of different types of clubs to join and activities and dances. The Knightly News (the the school announcements videos) needs better editing skills. I think the school needs improvement on their materials because almost everything is outdated such as the phones, computers, locker rooms, tables, chairs and etc. It's because the school is on a budget so its hard for them to update often. Overall, most teachers are good, staff is good, the school always remind students how bullying is wrong, safe environment and its cool.

My daughter joined Dartmouth this year as a 7th grade student and I absolutely love this school!! She came from a small school and since her 1st day has had no hesitation about the school and LOVES DARTMOUTH!!! She has never felt nervous to be new there and is already thriving in this GREAT SCHOOL!!! I have attended several school meetings prior to joining Dartmouth and since joining Dartmouth and am so impressed with the administration there! They really care about these kids and want to take the time to help them achieve a great education and have a great middle school experience. Thumbs up for sure if you are considering this school--I would HIGHLY recommend it!!! I am so glad I made the decision to put my daughter there and wish I had done it in 6th grade.

As a parent and educator, I feel Dartmouth middle school is amongst the best middle school in the Valley. I would not send my child anywhere else. Middle school is a challenging time for both students and parents. I feel Dartmouth continues to strive to offer the best learning environment for all. Passing the buck or blaming others has not been my experience as stated by the last review. In fact it is the total opposite. The staff has been excellent and whenever I need help they are willing to go above and beyond.

Be careful of this school. I encountered the acceptance of bad behavior by students, teachers, and staff and no one was willing to address it and in turn blamed it on others. Just because someone has money doesn t make them a good person and it was evident. Unfortunately, I can t share my specific experience as I think Greatschools would not allow it to post. I will say that taking my child out of this school was the best thing I ever did and it showed in the progress instantly made at the other middle school. As parents we want to protect our kids, and I m sad each time I think about what I was putting my child through by allowing continued enrollment in Dartmouth Middle School! If you have a choice, I recommend that you take your child somewhere else.

I disagree with you, i believe that this school has a great education with limited distractions depending on the class. Also, the school's tolerance of bullying is very limited, if there is any witness the principle will review the statement and determine if it is plausible and if any staff sees the event personally the student that is bullying would be indefinitely punished up to expulsion. If there is no witnesses usually the accused bully would get a punishment and an additional punishment if proven guilty.the first punishment would be a minor ISS or OSS at the most. I am also a student at the school going into the 8th grade and i assure you that i am not a straight A student but i have decent grades. I dont get distracted at all if i just listen and pay attention to my teacher. So if you can provide me with at least 5 examples of a student not getting punished for bullyinh i will look into it.
