This is one the best schools around, hands down! I have one daughter who just finished up all 4 years of middle school there and my other daughter is just starting her middle school experience! Nothing but positive experiences for my oldest and my youngest absolutely loves it and is thriving! She is so excited to go to school every day and loves getting involved in student activities!

I already left a review but was just reminded of the dress code. At one point administrators were taking kid’s jackets because they were not in dress code. It doesn’t get too cold here but I want to say the week this happened it was in the 50’s. I hate having to be against my kids school but we had to tell them the school is not allowed to take their jackets and if they try they need to call us. Frankly, it’s child abuse. This and the bathroom policy makes me question why I ever sent my kids here at all. Thankfully this year is almost over.

Some of the teachers here are kind and great but some are down right horrible

Terrible school for kids who are autistic and or have learning issues that aren’t viable with the physical eye.The teachers and administration are terrible and definitely play favoritism

This new principal has made things so difficult for everyone. He no longer allows students to buy HAUGHTON t-shirts outside of school. Now all red shirts HAVE to be the same shade of red. How ridiculous is that? He has no compassion for anyone no matter their situation. He's rude, extremely disrespectful, and just entirely too strict. The former principal, Mrs. Salter, was lovely & she genuinely cared about every student there. She helped my son get through the 7th grade and was wonderful at supporting my kids. Going from that, to this is definitely not great. Thankfully my son only has one more year here & then we won't have to deal with any of this non-sense anymore. I also have 2 kids at the high school (Senior & sophomore) & I've never had any kind of problems from that school. Why should it be harder at the middle school than the high school?
