Stuart Place Elementary is an absolutely great place to for children to learn and grow as future leaders. I thank not only the great leadership, and not just the excellent teachers, but also the support staff and volunteers that make Stuart Place run efficiently. The hard working parent volunteers are also very helpful in expediting the projects and programs that are needed by the instructors and other staff. Thank you all for your hard work and diligence!

Overall I do like this school, but there are some things I am concerned with. I don't like the fact that the morning PK class has about 26 students. This was a jump from 15. Even though I know Ms Trevino is a great teacher I believe that this is too much for her and Ms. Sullivan to handle and that there is not enough individual attention to these children. My child is in this class and I believe that they should be further along. It just feels more like a daycare instead of a school. Secondly , I don't like how things are sent out at the last minute. ...projects, permission slips, activities. There are so many working parents who need more then a day to get things ready. Think about the parents who have to come up with the funds and the time to help them do this. Times are tuff.

I am so disappointed in the new administration. I googled Alejandra Lara's name to see what her reputation was. I was shocked at the findings. As a parent I cannot imagine how you could hire someone who's school was on IMPROVEMENT REQUIRED. This school has a history of excellence. In the short time Mrs. Lara has been there things have changed for the worse. I see teacher's frustrated because they are made to do work that should be done by the administrator. She is rude and does NOT have an open door policy. I am so disappointed. Thank god for the assistant Dr. Nieto otherwise this school would be a total wreck!!!!

I have always loved Stuart Place! This is where my family have all gone for elementary school.

This is a fantastic school!! My children have been attending here and, as a parent, I am also involved. Our current principal, is new and still learning what it means to be a principal. I wish her all the best as she moves forward. Realizing that we are moving, trying to find a school that has high test scores and student preparedness is very difficult. It will be very hard to find a school that meets our expectations, as Stuart Place has set the bar VERY high!

I asked Principle Brauer if I could sit in on my son's class to monitor his behavior. She replied, "no". She referred to FERPA; which she said interferes with privacy issues. She also stated it would be at the discretion of the Principle. I looked up FERPA and she is wrong FERPA clearly states, "does not specifically prohibit a parent or professional working with the parent from observing the parent's child in the classroom." This alarmed me. What does the principle have to hide. I am not there to monitor her teachers but more my son. It is a public school and I have never heard that. Principles are always so welcoming.

My child has attended this school for a year and the school is wonderful. My concern with this school is that there safety priorities for the children are clouded. I repeatedly was allowed to pick up my child without showing an i.d, without signing him out and i had 2 other adults (who weren't on the list) allowed as well to pick up my child. I did it purposely to prove my point. i was not phoned, i was not informed by notice anything that my child had left. Nor where those adults id or signed in either. never given vistor passes anything. This is why i have frowned upon this school. I rather be given a hassle to pick up my own child then find them missing one day due to the schools negligence
