I'm sorry but this school raised red flags for me since the first day of school. We recently moved to Harlingen and this was the school my child was assigned to. I always like to drop off my kids the first day of school so that I can meet the teachers (my wife drops them off most of the time). That first day I was floored when I saw what the teachers and staff were wearing. There is no place for five inch heels and tight revealing dresses at school for anyone much less the teachers. We are midway through the school year and my son is doing O.K., but he's always done well at school. Recently, his "conduct" card has been sent home continuously with complaints from the teacher (or teachers as after my wife asked for clarification on one incident and we sere met with "additional comments" from a second teacher). My boy has also started to dislike doing his homework. This is something we've never experienced as he has always loved doing his homework, even being down when we weren't able to get right to his homework after school. It just seams to me like the teachers care more about "other things" (i.e. their looks, etc.) rather than focussing on their students.

Got a letter for two consecutive years this school hasn't met the minimum standards on tests so there are 3 other elementary schools that they give you the option of transferring to & I am! and my child never has homework and sometimes gets his folder back that is suppose to be a daily thing. It looks like a very nice good school but overall I am really disappointed. .

I love the teachers, they are great but staff needs to appreciate more their teachers and what a great job they are doing with the students.
