Great school! Generally, you don't appreciate great teachers until you are an adult. It is then that you realize how much you have learned. I learned as an adult that I was very lucky to have the teachers that I had at Hardin. My teachers fought hard to make sure we understood concepts and were prepared for life. They introduced us to new ideas and gave us an appreciation for old ideas. I was truly inspired at Hardin and have a true admiration for Hardin-Central High!

Hardin-Central High School is a very small school, but it provided my children with an excellent education. We moved here from another district where the administration and faculty did not care about the students, or their jobs as educators. It was nearly impossible to get any extra assistance for my children when they needed help with their work. The teachers were not willing to work with me as a parent because the "student needs to be responsible for their own learning". There isn't that type of attitude here. Although the students are taught to be responsible for themselves, the teachers at Hardin Central were more than willing to discuss whatever concerns I had about my children and their school work. Any extra help needed was always provided. Overall, The students, and the community as a whole, seem to be more of a positive environment than our previous district. There were none of the physical altercations or drug problems that were so frequent in the previous district. Even though the school is small, the education is high quality, and many opportunities are available. The school participates in the A+ program, and also offers many of the dual credit courses, as well.
