Brookfield Elementary School gave me my son back! I can't even begin to thank the staff for all they have done to help him successfully return to his school district. I have never met a more patient bunch of people then those I encountered at Brookfield. From day one the staff at Brookfield made my son feel that he was valued and that he could succeed. Their positive reinforcement approach was so beneficial to my son's education plan. Every staff member was amazing!

It is a shame I have to say this but, . Brookfield WAS a great school. It has really changed and I am very disappointed. I am trying to get my child out as fast as possible. I know cut-backs were hard on everyone but, there demeanor is awful, they are overwhelmed, cannot deal with even minor behaviors and they are condescending to parents and students. Some of the teachers are wonderful but if you are placed in a classroom without one of those wonderful teachers, you are on your own. There is little supervision, very little academics and poor behavior management techniques. DO NOT SEND your child here!!!

If you get presented with this school as an option for out of district placement for your child...run. Run as far and as fast as you can. After cutbacks in 2011 and the replacement of the principle, this school has gone downhill. It is unfortunate because they have wonderful therapists that can work with your child but even though they cut many staff members, they keep bringing in more kids. And, unfortunately, some of the long term staff are leaving due to the poor leadership. Mother always said to end on a nice note so....Brookfield is a good place to send your chld so when your child leaves and gets accepted into a better school, you'll have a better appreciation of the new school.
