Impressed with comments about the teachers. Thank You to ALL of them. My hope is that teachers spot these troubled kids and assign them to counseling for the WHOLE family. This may change attitudes and give the child the much needed support. Thank you teachers for being aware. Thank you! God bless this school.

I transferred from Liggett to GPN halfway through my freshman year, and I am so glad I did. Great staff (my brother's Honors Chem teacher won Michigan teacher of the year), and very challenging coursework, I learned so much more at this public school than at a school charging 25,000 a year. Teachers are very helpful and want to see you succeed. The Honors classes are top notch, and I am looking forward to the rest of my years at North.

I want to send my daughter to this school. It is one of the highest rated and the reviews are excellent. The only thing that I worry about, is us not being in the School school district. I really don't want our home location to take a good education opportunity away.

As a recent graduate of GPN now attending the University of Michigan, I felt underprepared my first year of college. The coursework at North was fairly easy with little application to what was being taught. Tests were straight recall. The science department was a complete joke. Teachers did not have enough of a grasp on the material to teach it. There are a lot of AP offerings but the teachers do not prepare students well enough for the AP tests with many students not earning a 4 or a 5. The staff was very nice and helpful but I feel as though the curriculum should be more focused on preparing students for college courses. I was in all honors and AP classes. For students that weren't, they often complained of disruptive classmates. The disciplinary policies at North were terrible. Releasing a chicken caused suspension but receiving straight C's and D's and being a nuisance to other students allowed for participation in sports and other activities and no discipline. I had a great time all 4 years at North. The extracurriculars, sports, and events were all a blast. I have so many good memories with great friends from North. I wouldn't trade my high school experience for anything.

This is to whoever said this: "Great school but has too many students from other non-GP areas taking advantage of open enrollment. This leads to strained racial relations within the student body." Even though I do not attend this school, I would like to say that every student has the right to get an education wherever they would like IF it makes them be that much more successful in life. If people didn't have their aversions to diversity and actually accepting somebody of a different race or that may not be as fortunate as they are for once in their lives, maybe students wouldn't have such strained relationships amongst each other. Maybe this school should embrace diversity for once. You don't have to wear hollister, aeropostale, or ugg boots to be a good student. You don't have to live in a home with a $100,000 income or more to be a good student. And, you don't have to live in Grosse Pointe to be a good student, either.

I recently graduated from GPN. I cannot say enough about how much I loved it. Academically, there are so many different classes to take. Teachers constantly challenge their students to succeed. Teachers make themselves available for help and often will come in early or stay after school for help. There are so many different clubs and organizations to become involved in. In my opinion, GPN is what you make of it. If you want to slip by and take all of the easy classes, go ahead. If you want to take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities and challenges, then this is the school for you. One would be foolish not to tap in to the many resources that GPN makes available. From the outstanding faculty to the phenomenal student body, I am proud to say that I am a GPN graduate.

I am currently a student at GPN and I love it. The atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. Teachers work super hard to ensure that students have the best environment to work and learn in, plus they are always willing to help. There are so many different clubs, classes, and options available to students. All in all, it is a great school.
