Greenleaf Friends Academy is such a blessing for our family. Over the years, our children have homeschooled and attended public school, but Greenleaf is the right fit for us.The entire staff is dedicated to nurturing a Classical Christian learning environment, where our children have absolutely blossomed. The students are uniquely recognized as individuals and encouraged to cultivate their personal gifts. As a parent, it is important to me that we have open communication with the administration, and I always feel welcomed and respected. In recent years, the teachers, office staff, and school board have worked together to create a place where the love of learning is instilled, and community in Christ is paramount.

I received an amazing education there as did my kids and now my grandkids....these people that write negative reviews about GFA school hop and look for issues. I'm pretty sure one of the negative reviews involved an expelled student. All kids are different but sending them to GFA will give them a great opportunity for success academically as well as life in general. This is current. 2022. I have 2 in high school and 2 grandchildren in elementary

Let me start off by saying that there are things I love about Greenleaf Friends Academy, but the main issue I have had has been that Greenleaf has (and has had for YEARS), a HORRIFIC bullying problem that the teachers are ill-equipped to handle, and the administration WON'T handle. My kids were both bullied their first year at Greenleaf, but my daughter was bullied HORRIFICALLY and habitually for months by a girl who had bullied several other girls for YEARS. This girl called her names, shoved her, stole from her, sent emails and messages that were abusive, incited others to abuse my daughter, lied, gossiped, and slandered my daughter. This went on for several MONTHS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was done by the administration to stop it. It got so bad I took my daughter out of school. Then, other parents called in and threatened to remove their children who had been bullied. THEN the school (who was going to lose money), decide to ask the girl to finish school at home for the rest of the year. My daughter spent her summer in trauma counseling as a result of the bullying (another girl became suicidal from bullying at the school). My then nine-year-old special-needs son was bullied and his teacher emailed me 14 reasons why he couldn't have been bullied without talking with him. When confronted 10 days later, the perpetrator admitted to bullying him. I tried repeatedly to talk to the school board about the bullying problem since the administration was doing nothing to help the kids there, but the secretary of the board ignored all my email attempts for over five months. I met with the new principal, Mr. Browne before the new 2021 school year. He told me his bullying policy is "the Golden Rule," which doesn't address bullying at all, but only how we should treat each other. If we are going to throw Scripture around, let me quote Psalm 82: God takes his place at the head of a large gathering of leaders. He announces his decisions among them. He says, “How long will you stand up for those who aren’t fair to others? How long will you show mercy to sinful people? Stand up for the weak and for children whose fathers have died. Protect the rights of people who are poor or treated badly. Save those who are weak and needy. Save them from the power of sinful people..."

This school has become less and less impressive over the past several years. Our daughter attended school here her whole life. By the time she was a freshmen our concerns were such that we decided we would take her from this place she was so comfortable with and put her in a different private school. What a difference! You never know how behind your child is until they attend a new school that is light years ahead of the old one. She struggled so badly her first year to catch up and most likely will struggle til she graduates because she doesn't have the foundation needed by high school. I am still glad we removed her; at least she will have a chance at college now.I cringe to think of the wasted money and years here. Although it was nice when she was very little; it just doesn't measure up in the long term. I am surprised that so many people who used to go here and graduated from GFA were so successful; my guess is that it USED to be very academically sound. Or maybe those graduates of the past just got lucky. I don't know people who have current graduates who are really that pleased at all. Obviously some from years past are happy. And GFA is very small and like a family- it is VERY risky to write them a bad review or even just a very honest one!

Greenleaf Friends Academy has offered not only a Spiritual foundation for my children, grades 1, 3, and 12, but they have provided an educational foundation in which my children desire to learn more every day. They provide tools to use throughout there lives and establish lifelong friendships that they are proud to call classmates and family.

My three children all graduated from Greenleaf Friends Academy. They scored very high on their SAT and ACT tests and because of scholarships received were able to attend the university of their choice. Two graduated from college debt free and one with a small amount of student loan. All three are mechanical engineers, one with a PhD, one with a MA and the third with a Bachelors. All three found good jobs without difficulty. The more important result is the kind of people they have become because of the partnership in education between GFA, the home, and their church support. As parents we could not be more blessed to see our adult children living lives of success in their careers, but even more blessed to see them living lives that honor and glorify God. We are so thankful for the work in their lives while students at GFA; by God and through some amazing and exceptional Christian teachers that knew their content area well but also knew the God of the universe intimately and demonstrated it through their daily lives. GFA delivers an education that matters!

If there is a question about academics of this school...my sons attended and graduated from GFA. One son is now a minister and the other is a Mechanical Engineer. I believe their testimoney as both dedicated Christians who are still actively growing in their faith can be a definate reflection of their education there.

If my wife wont write this review I will. I don't care if someone is mad at us for being honest.Someone has to be honest! This school teaches kids one thing; never own up to mistakes. HIDE your skeletons. As long as you cover up the truth and pretend everything is okay you will be fine and you will be a welcome asset to this school. If not, they don't want you here. You will find all the filth here of a public school expect here you get to pay for it and teach your kids how to hide it from the world. The fa ade is sickening. Think long and hard before you put good kids in this school Its too small to get away from bad things. They will either choose to fit in or choose to be harassed, while most of the staff looks the other way. Save your money and your kids' heartaches. We had several in this school and only one had a decent experience but still struggled to catch up when moving onto a "real" school because the academics are just so far behind here. There are a handful of nice kids here and an even smaller handful of good staff, but nothing worth paying for and certainly not worth the risk to your kids and their education. If this school were so great, it would be growing, a LOT.

One of the worst places I have ever sent my kids. My kids act like real Christians and they do not fit in at this school and those in authority claim to care but don't do anything accept spread rumors about things they are supposed to be trying to fix. Its the weirdest thing I have ever seen and not what I would expect from a private school much less a Christian one. We are so happy to be done with this school as a few of our friends are who tried and hated it in the past. These reviews were a review campaign.... have everyone go on and say something good about Greenleaf!! Not an accurate depiction of reality. Sorry
