We have a lot of generational history with the school and know that schools have good years and bad years. Last year wasn't the best year for us as parents. We had our student come home and tell us stories a lot about not being listened to and being bullied. His teacher would do things like not let them sharpen pencils if they broke their lead and would have to use color crayons for the day as punishment. We tried multiple times to have the teacher, councilor and principle involved to help, but the trouble was that they were overwhelmed and stretched too thin. They self admittedly had much worse problems with other children and needed to work on those ahead of our issues, but would get us on the list. Very interesting that you have to push so hard to get support. It is concerning because we are the active parents that volunteer and engage, so no sure how non-active parents get help. We really hope the administration and teachers get more support. Even after this all we truly believe they are there to help, but just burnt out and overwhelmed.

It is an excellent place for children to learn and grow into their own self. 5/5
