I graduated in 2012. This school was amazing. I went to kindergarten at Woodrow Wilson in Binghamton, my parents and one other parent were the only ones to show up to open house, for first grade we moved to Greene. In Greene, open house is standing room only. Now to focus on the high school; my teachers were fantastic, and I consider many of them to be friends. They opened my eyes up to the world. Yes Greene lacks diversity, but our teachers provided us with knowledge so that we weren't missing out on any cultures. There are many great sports with good coaches. I must admit it was hard to go from a team that never loses in high school to a college team that never wins. My senior year I took four college classes which got me enough ahead to skip a semester. Although the school is small, there are many clubs and activities for students. Band, chorus and footlights were definitely a highlight of both middle and high school for me. In these times many schools are cutting arts programs, Greene is fighting hard so it won't come to that. This school is truly great and I would not be the person I am today if I did not attend this school, with these rock star teachers.

From the superintendent down to the "para professionals" and everyone in between this is one of the worst districts for children with disabilities. There was a sprinkling of decent teaching staff while my child attended but overall very degrading, disrespectful and condescending staff are the norm. Homeschooling or another district are the better. safer choices for your special child. My family's experience with this district has been rought with disappointment. This district negates any responsibility for their inability and apparent unwillingness to educate children with disabilities. Much easier to blame the child's "disability" than the district's inexcusable believe that children with disabilities can't learn.
