Avoid this school if you can! The students are super disrespectful (they take anyone and everyone now) to the community around their school and no one cares. The secretary is rude and doesn’t care about what the kids do and either does the admin (always in a meeting). I would never send my kids to this Private school. If you just drive by around dismissal time you can see for yourself!

I have been attending this school for 3 years now. Through those 3 years I have seen horrible bullying and I have been bullied multiple times. The Dean of students does not do anything he does not even call the parents to notify them that the child is in distress. Thee principal should be more active in the lives of the students, instead he sits in the hallways saying hi to kids which is nice, but he is always looking for a problem. Same with the Dean of Students. There have been so many weird incidents. In one case a 2 boys assaulted a young boy in the boys locker room. It was claimed sexually harassment and some people were recording. They suspended the 2 boys for a week for harassing that little boy, but they'll expel a kid for getting in a small "fight" altercation with one another. All the school cares about is money and sports. If you are a good athlete you are a privileged student, especially if you're on the basketball team. This school is really racist and no one cares. Some one will call a student a deroggative name and the teachers don't even care. I rate this school 2 stars only because some of the teachers care otherwise I would rate it 1 star.

I would give the school zero starts if I could. I WILL NEVER recommend Martin Luther to anyone. The school’s “bullying policy” is ridiculous. The school protects those kids whose family are high up in the churches, as those kids seem to do no wrong. I’ve witnessed much bullying that the facility had never stepped in to help. I’ve been in classrooms were the teachers joined in on picking and harassing a student!!!! That is definitely not a Christian like atmosphere. It’s truly disgusting. I had attended Martin Luther all 4 years and after my experience my parents decided to send my younger sibling to public school. I was bullied for a year and with physical evidence too. When talking to the faculty about the situation nothing was done I was told to pray about it and they looked the other way. After a year of being harassed and miserable and not wanting to attend school. After receiving hurtful threats through social media during school hours I might add. The school did nothing so when I told this person to leave me alone or if they want a fight I’ll fight them. I was threatened to be suspended!!! Suspended for standing up for my self after the school wouldn’t do anything. Another classmate was bullied so badly by a group of girls whose parents had a lot of money so the school did nothing. Those girls parents actually had to get the police involved and she ended up leaving. Public schools are far more advanced academically, and have a better anti-bullying policy. The school had changed over the 4 years of me being there. Not offering the same classes, or having the option for those advanced classes. The school is to focused on its sport teams and nothing else. They don’t care if kids are actually failing there classes as long as they are able to be out on the court they can pass by with a almost D or multiple D’s just make sure they can shoot hoops. A public school is the best option you could make for you’re child. A public school offers more options and more advanced opportunities. I wish my parents would have saved the money and sent me to a public school. It would have been a much better experience, and I would have had the chance to actually be challenged academically, as well as the school not tolerating harassment.

MLHS is a wonderful high school community. Teachers, administrators and staff consider their roles in this community a mission to use their gifts to radiate God's love and to provide a holistic, caring and safe learning environment for their students. Teachers and administrators are easily accessible to parents and work well with parents as a team to promote good study habits and correct undesirable behaviors. The school principal is often outside welcoming students and greeting parents on nearly a daily basis. Course offerings during the COVID-19 pandemic included classroom, virtual, and hybrid options, and superior quality instruction was maintained in either option. Daily beginning-of-day and end-of-day prayers and one to two chapel services each week emphasize God's overarching role in the MLHS community and give students opportunity to worship and grow in their relationships with Him. The school welcomes a diverse community reflecting Milwaukee's diverse ethnic groups. The school also offers an international program that welcomes students from other countries and guides students through the F1 student visa application process. The English as a Second Language (ESL) program interactively teaches English language and American culture in a manner that helps students quickly grasp and advance their English language skills. The new dormitory building on campus for international students is modern and impressive.

As an alumni, and now the parent of a recent graduate, I am sad to say that I cannot in good faith recommend this school to anyone. Not only is it incredibly overpriced for what they actually offer, the administration is unprofessional, arrogant, and incompetent. They do not require all teachers to have actual certification, and the communication between parents and the administration about what goes on in the school is abysmal. They claim to "teach truth," but will cover anything up that makes them look bad, which is the exact opposite of how we raise our children. We were so disappointed, that we decided to send our other child to a public school. We found the public school to be light years ahead academically, and were treated in a far more Christian manner by the public school staff than by anyone at ML. ML will only give you the time of day if you are affiliated with a certain local church, too bad they did not realize we had money to invest in them as well.

Martin Luther High School did very little to acclimatize me to the world. Sheltered in a school dominated by cis white Christians, I did not learn how to act around people of other race, sexualities, non-binary gender identities, or religions. Instead, I was consistently taught with western, political, and religious bias. After coming out as an atheist myself, I experienced shunning and isolation here. Overall, this was not a good place for me to be at for High School.

Martin Luther changed my life. I entered this school a lost person who was throwing their future down the drain. ML helped me to find Christ and focus on my studies. As I entered college (Marquette University) I found I was better prepared than my classmates from other schools. I cannot stress that I would not be the person that I am today without this school. Today, I am a teacher working in the inner city. I strive to give my students what Martin Luther gave to me. Thanks ML!

This teachers at this school are beyond extraordinary. If you want to send your kid to a school where he will have great academic success and grow up to be a kind, respectable person, this school is for you.

If you're thinking of sending your child to ML, please reconsider. Aside from their lack of educational opportunities, the overall environment is terrible. ML is too politically involved with a local church and bases their staff choices and student's classes on how well known they are in the church. For example, I am currently in an AP History class and my GPA is usually around a 3.5, yet as a freshman it was recommended that I didn't take a sophomore history class because I "wasn't ready", yet certain "favorites" in my grade were able to take it and get ahead. As previous posts said, the teachers are too friendly with the church's "favorite" students which believe it or not affects the non-favorites grades. The building itself is falling to pieces and all ML cares about is your money for their own personal reasons. Anyone who differs with my opinion is most likely put on a pedestal for the church and purposely advertising on websites like this so ML can get your money. I would highly recommend staying away from Martin Luther and put your money to a better private high school or college.

I have been to many schools, but this one was by far the worst. As previous posts said, the teachers are too friendly with students and pick their favorites which affects the non-favorite's grades. The only thing ML is concerned with is money. For the longest time they would not accept the choice program because certain families did not like those type of people being in their "Christian Environment". Instead, they decided to bring in many foreign exchange students in to the point where you do not even hear English being spoken in the hallways. Overall, anyone who says this school is good needs to reconsider their statement or is most likely politically known in the church. The good reviews you read are just a promotion for your money.

Martin Luther High School is an outstanding Christian high school! My children have received an excellent education that well prepared them for their college core classes - even testing out of Math and English requirements so they could focus more on their major. Class sizes where small with teachers who cared about their success. They were able to participate in extra-cirruculars having positive experiences from high school that will last a lifetime. I can not thank the staff at ML enough for all that they did to support the values we teach at home, as well as support my children to become the wonderful young Christian man and woman that they are. In addition, thanks to the dedicated people who are continuing to work hard making updates to the campus, including a new track!

This school is excellent. Although I wouldn't agree with some of the administration and their policies, I do believe it is still a school where my child belongs. The small class size is unheard of today as well as the excellent faculty. They know my sons name and they care about him and his education, that's really what matters. Is the building older, do they need some updates, are there a few select people who need to leave the school, YES! I challenge you to find a school that doesn't have those problems. This school is a private school that does cost some significant money, but they are willing to work with you and get you financial assistance. Overall this is a GREAT school.

I use to go to ML, when I was there it was a great school. Now that my friends daughter goes there it has went down the drain. You get the same education as you would at public school for a lot less. ML just cares about the money now and not about the education of the students. The review from below is right, the teachers try to be friends with the students, but they have to be the popular students otherwise you get ignored and looked down upon. Knowing what I know now. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

This may be a private school, but it's not Christian. Children's behavior is unacceptable especially kids from fellow graduates . Teacher's try to be friends with students. The school is in need of repair. Principle doesn't deal with issues. Don't be a fool, save your money.

ML is not a great school. It's an average school that advertises itself as much, much more. From facilities constantly in disrepair to a teaching staff that varies from incredible to atrocious in quality, there simply is not that much to brag about. Additionally, extra curriculars are hard to come by. It's awesome that 80% of students go on to higher education, but consider that the vast majority of these students are upper-middle class white kids and that number becomes more expected and less impressive. Consider that about 25% of those students go to small Christian colleges after being repeatedly told that any other school will be a place where their all-important faith is under attack. This means that incredibly gifted students (often little of this gift is any contribution of the school) are encouraged to squander their gifts in places of little diversity or critical discussion of their prior assumptions (this also describes ML itself very well). I feel very uncomfortable in a place that doesn't allow me to express myself or criticize (or even analyze) any part of the doctrine that it forces down the throats of children daily. Avoid this school if you value discussion or logic
